Latest barn find

Rare to find a Savoy sport coupe let alone with the sport trim and accessory bumper ends. Those bumper ends are likely worth the cost of your car.
This was my 58 Savoy sport coupe with the base trim.

That is a beautiful car, yeah the last set of wings I had I did real good with them. I am in the car for very little, I was shocked I got it for what I did . What do you guys think she's worth as she sits. I just talked to the auction house earlier, there mailing me the original title from 58.

Will,

You have had the best list of cars over your lifetime that any one person could have!!!

All of them were rough, the 58 belvedere 4-door hardtop was parked in 67. It was so rusty the roof skin blew off on my way home. Here she sits now on my farm.

While I regard the 57-58 Forward Look cars as the high water mark of Exner's design cycle I never understood the fuzz about those bumper extensions; they just kill the lines for me. The Sportone Options are another Story though.

You never see these cars in black. I really like the option you had of the rear chrome stone shields on the rear wheel wells. I prefer the 58 wheel cover with the wide whites better than the 57's. Very nice car. Also the front lower stone shield is a silver/gray color. On theBelvedere's, they were painted the same color as the body of the car.

I'm used to the later Mopar stuff, so I'm lost trying to decode this body tag. I'm sure there's some people here that can help. View attachment 191123

Unfortunately, put all of my decoding paperwork in my 58 when I sold it. Going by memory....
- First letter L indicates the model year - 1958
- Second letter, P indicates the model - Plymouth
- The third character may be the body type, 1- two door sedan, 2- four door sedan, 3 - two door hardtop, 4- four door hardtop
- The fourth character may indicate the engine size - 1 is a 6 cylinder, 2 is a V-8
- I know the last letter indicates the assembly plan: E = Evansville, Indiana , L = Los Angeles, California , N = Newark, Delaware W = Windsor, Ontario , blank (no character) = Detroit
- Last four to five digits is the sequential production number starting at 1001. If I am wrong, some one will chime in.

I'm on the same page as you. I think the bumper wings take away from the cars' lines. I would definitely not pay the kind of money they get for them. Now that Sports trim is a different story.....
He's a picture of my 30K mile 1958 Belvedere that was pulled from an old ladies garage in Greenbay after I finished it. It had no rust to speak of and the interior is still original. I did have to repaint it.

Hey guys thanks for all the help, I got her off the trailer last night, I think she is going to be to big if a project for me. I think I'm going to let someone else build her and do her justice. I've got a idea on the value of parts, but have never sold such a complete car. What do you guys think she's worth? Anyone here intrested before I list her somewhere?

Sport fury 67, I would love to talk 58 savoys. This is the first one ive had, ive bee lucky finding these cars, I've had a 57 belvedere, a 58 4-door hardtop belvedere, and a 58 fury. Everyone has told me the wings are the rarest option, all 4 of my cars has had them. Yes v8 push button auto, second color is white (what's left of it). Im not sure why she parked it, she passed away in 1999 and her husband just passed away a few months back, im not sure why they held on to the car it definitely didn't have much value in 71. I was at the auction for this only, one other guy was sniffing around but no one else was bidding. The dash looked odd to me when I was looking at it, then I noticed no radio.
Here are the photos of the interior of my car that had 15K miles....

Hey tberd62, you have the holy grail car I was hoping would be out there but never saw. I would have ordered it like your car if I was buying in 58. If I remember, it was one of the cars featured in the sales booklet. I always wanted a 4-door hardtop; the color combo is fantastic. Again, I am only three hours south in IL, how did I miss this car for sale in Greenbay, WI? If the time comes and it is looking for someone to take care of it in a new home, let us know.

I would get the brakes fixed. put tires on it and drive it the way it is. I wouldn't even wash it. the patina is priceless. that way you could have fun

My guess is this car is too far gone with seriously weakened structural integrity to operate as is.
I'd even say the majority would regard this as a parts car, whoever puts it back in save driving condition has my highest regards.

1958 Plymouth savoy

fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

1958 plymouth Savoy. True barn find, it was just pulled out after sitting from 1971. Two door hardtop with the extremely hard to get bumper wings, sport tone trim. 318 auto, factory red and white. This car will need rockers, lower 1/4's, passenger front floor board, passenger trunk extension, fender eye brows. Extremely hard to find these cars in any condition, this car is still on it's original title, the original family still had it until last weekend. This car doesn't run or drive but is 100% complete and ready for a restoration or that Christine clone you have always wanted. $9000

I know some of you guys will be mad at me for flipping the car, but this came in the mail today, I thought you guys would like to see it.
