We have a thread on it already.

Bring, lotsa cash and sunscreen. Comfortable shoes, a poncho or umbrella a camera, keep water with you. Are you bringing your car for the field?

This is the 11th years me & a bunch of my buddies will be attending. There is a great representation of C- bodies there as well as the other body styles, including trucks. Lots of vendors, both big & small. Be sure to wear good walking shoes, have plenty of sunscreen & water. If you are bringing a car to the show field load up a cooler with bottled water as well as some snacks. The concessions there are a little pricey. Weather is supposed to be sunny & high 80's this weekend. Have a great time.

Unfortunately I don’t trust any of my vehicles 7 hrs away from home. I will be renting & stopping by Hershey with the family the next day. They will deserve it after putting up with me in mopar heaven all day, lol thanx for the info!

WATER! WATER! WATER! Trust me you will need it. Have a friend in from Cali and went to Gettysburg yesterday and needed a lot of water.

Attending since '92.
It just keeps getting bigger and better. I travel light. Camera and cell phone. There are plenty of refreshment stands to buy bottle water. Plus I know these guys with a tent over by the Polaras with a big cooler.

You are going to need more than one day. It is not easy to see everything in 3 days!

You can easily spend an entire day just in the midway and vendor area.

I am driving 402 miles approximately 6-7 hours drive in my 68 Newport. Sometimes it's the journey not the destination, LOL

My car lived 90 miles east of Carlisle, in Pottstown, for the first 48 years of its life. Three and a half months after buying it, she’s going to Carlisle’s for her and my first trips ever to the Nationals!

:steering:

All I can say is FL is cooler than Carlisle. At least when I've gone. Holy hell is it hot.
Try the shuffleboard court in Sarasota in July or August.
So hot and humid the vinyl door panels started drooping in my Duster.

Been going off and on since the first time they did a Chrysler show there. Been to a few Corvette ones too.

I'm never disappointed. It's always well run and everything goes to plan. Since you are just spectating, I suggest parking in the school lot next to the grounds. It's about the closest to the gate and the money goes to the school.

Bring cash... more than you think you will need. Water is important and the bathrooms in the buildings are very clean (important for the women folk with you). Make sure they have change to tip the attendants.

The food seems to be the best under the bleachers. None is cheap, but I've seen worse prices at other events. The Pennsylvania Dutch place on the end of the bleachers has really good ham sandwiches.

Since you are in Hershey, if you have a chance, go through the AACA museum. That gets missed by everyone and it's a fantastic place.

Yeah forgot to mention to get your bearingz of the fair groundz N+E+S+W Dave. The port-a-pottyz are located on the south side of the hill in the curve and on the west end of the swap area between gate 1 and gate 2. Permanent throne roomz are in the white cinder block building just off the hill on the west side and under the east end of the grand standz. Try to use one of the ones on the stand alonez in the swap area and you run the risk being neutered. Have fun y'all. No St. Pauli in the bed of the Scamp this year. I just got permission to drive again last week after two months of rehab and looking at two more months of PT with my new bionic right shoulder. Closer and closer to becoming the 6 Million Dollar Man, SHISH. Jer

Glad to hear you're up and at 'em Jerry! My bionic hip is doing well too!

Moparwilks you will have a blast. Great info about food parking and washrooms from Big John - especially the tipping the restroom attendants. That's gotta be one of the most thankless jobs ever. Give them some recognition.
