Southern Motors won’t buy junk. The drivetrain will be solid when it goes up for sale. Their cars are ready to cruise right out the door. Almost bought a 70 RR from them complete with dad’s hood a few years ago.

Yes of course , how many people are working there , they have a lot of costs…..
People forget that…!!
Nobody forgets that. But I could care less about their costs. These flippers have priced many people out of the hobby, just sayin.

Based off the 1 picture it sure looks like a nice car but I have no idea what the rest of the car looks like, original interior, correct manifolds, air cleaner blah blah. Assuming it’s been restored or kept with originality in mind - I think it has room to grow, based on it being a convertible, a 300, and especially if it’s a very nice example.

If a base mode Slabside Chrysler, with the base engine, crank windows and other lowly options can fetch 20k, surely a 300 vert in equal shape can equate.
Numerous folks said that car was a bargain, so I'm mostly just curious what people would say this one is worth. If as nice as that one picture, surely $30k, but I also think general consensus would be that it is only worth $20k...

Just wanted to check, there's a lot of financial misinfo out there.
My favorite is 'your home is your biggest investment'. (maybe the largest size, certainly not the best investment.

I'm sure Southern Motors didn't pay the $19,500 Carlisle price. I bet it's considerably less especially in cash. But it'll be on their lot for more than $20k.

I know they got $30k for 71 340 Duster clone. Original slant six “Twister” car.
