I missed them last year, I think there were more C bodies. I just took pics of as much as I could, not all Mopar, no Linda Vaughn (she wouldn’t be there until 2:30) but my wife did her best to fill in....

I got there at 5pm on Saturday to inspect and take detailed pics of the 300H...and it was mostly all packed up yet it was supposed to go until 6 (I was told). I was damn disappointed because I figured that car would be rather original, being that it was a Hurst show, and I'd like to know the exact details of the Hurst treatment to see where my car might be incorrect.

Does anyone know if that car belongs to a FCBO member?

So, thanks for posting your pics. Better ones than I got.....

Your welcome.

The 300H is from Fantom Works and there were a number of incorrect details. It was not the worst example I’d seen, but certainly not worthy of being a featured vehicle at the Hurst Nationals, IMHO. The aftermarket radiator, column mounted tach, the little “H” emblems mounted on the door panels and trunk lid, incorrect steering wheel (mounted upside down no less), just to mention a few.

There is a lot of information on the forum about the 300H in general, and pics of better examples for comparison.

Just a minute ago I saw the FTM WKS plate and realized what it was. Much thanks for that rundown, and yes....the rad, the H on the trunk, and the awful, awful, awful exhaust tips "tipped" me off that this wasn't a great Reference car...and I hadn't seen the Hs on the door panels. I can forgive the tacho....my car came with a leeeetle one kinda hiding the volt meter.

For a brief instant, I thought my car was MISSING the H on the decklid, LOL!

Anything else you notice so I can zoom in, please?

Oh, and the 300H that sold on Saturday afternoon was in decent condition, except for an H on the dash near the fuel gage, and awful, awful quad tips again. Who started that silly trend 15 years ago? My car has awful, awful Charger tips (I think) that stick out past the valance about 8 inches...like jets....that will be getting converted to conventional downturns in the very near future.

As for good 300H pics, I search the forum somewhat and didn't see a nice pile of good details shots. Can you point me? ( Yes I know about SEARCH)

I just went thru the 18 page "pics" thread saw a 300H on a trailer in 2016...and that was 65Monaco. And Mr. Pursuit and I have already has some agreement on a thread a few weeks ago, so I'll reach out to these fellows, thanks.

My recently acquired car is quite good with a minimum of mistakes (except the tips and some mechanical hacks), but only by comparison can I sniff out any problems.

And how about 69monaco? Is that a 300H I see in a big garage with three other Cs?

And I will now officially un-hijack this thread!

I thought there were more, might be all of the for sale posts I’m thinking about. There’s a lot of knowledge to be had here regardless. Hijack a thread? Nah, that’s how we roll here on FCBO!

Yeah, I've been through a lot of searches here for H-specific info and didn't find a Holy Grail of OEM info, but there is indeed PLENTY of good info here, and I intend to read every word of it. Especially for getting my AC working....I spent most of my time in Carlisle talking to people about the options (I have a lot of F12, so I can go that route).

And I did meet Al Moon. Great guy, and he knows of my car as the PO was a member for forever.

Too bad I didn’t know you were there. We could have met and discussed our cars. I also have the contact info from the guy who owns the prototype car in addition to a regular production Hurst. Send me a message with any questions

It was a pleasure spending time around you and your wife this year... she's a good sport. I'm glad someone got some pics of the Hurst stuff, I never made it that far either. If they really wanted me they would have included a swap area...

Did Carlisle reach out to Trevor for the use of his car? I just couldn't get hyped up about it with the olds.

65Mon,

Thank you for that offer, I'll PM with my email so we can chat. And yes, would have liked to have met you there, but at least I stumbled upon Big John and Ripinator, both of whom were very generous with their time and advice. I took lots of reference pics of their cars and others that they pointed out to me that they knew to have the right stuff, and I surely appreciated that.

I now have my power seats working beautifully, getting ready to tackle dash lighting, will soon rebuild the power window clutch contraptions, and starting the research on getting the AC back in cool air action.

Note: I'm pretty knowledgeable about A and E cars (owned 'em), but the specific peculiarities and part supply issues of the C cars are new to me. Fortunately, my car is cosmetically (body, chrome, interior) about 98% so I can focus on mechanical/electrical annoyances. Heck, even my hood and decklid are almost level and flat!

Okay....end of hijack. Back to Carlisle pics!
