Have to sell duel snorkel intake . It hits wiper motor 68 dart. Intake is from mid 70's motor home 440. Intake is in very good condition very nice piece. Will need to be repainted or powder coated to what ever you want. Intake comes with extra lid and filter.
Asking $175. + shipping From Yakima Wa. ( Ebay /craigslist sells for $200. to $300.)
PM me if interested

That would be an air cleaner which sits on top of the carburetor which is bolted to the intake.:poke:

It's unique and clean looking without the heat riser openings and vacume canisters.

motor home air cleaner is why..

So... What's up with the s!ots?
A constant small flow of air vs the on demand you get with the doors? Maybe due to higher engine compartment temperatures? But of course the snorkels would be pulling in the same hot air. :BangHead:

If I understand you properly you are talking about these. On my air cleaner they are just pressed metal with no slot or hole punched into them , I believe that they would have been for the mounting of the hinge for the heat riser door. I would assume that all snorkels had these bumps when manufactured but the ones with the actual heat riser mechanism would have had the holes in them to attach the heat riser and all it’s working parts . This is just a theory.

The snorkels from the motorhomes standing closer to each other than the orig (muscle)car dual snorkel units , it looks very wrong and cheap on a muscle car imo , i would never use one !!
