Hey guys
I'm looking at an exhaust system from tti for my 66 Monaco. It lists 67 Chrysler 300. I'm assuming all c bodies from 65 to 73 use the same exhaust?

Nope. Differences in wheelbases and TTI will need to know what exhaust manifolds and engine you have. Call them. The 67 300 listing will give you an idea on cost and options.

The kit is listed by year and engine. With a 440 and tti headers 3" kit, I had to cut the mid pipes down and the tail pipes should be cut, but I haven't on that car.

With a 383 with stock non HP manifolds 2.5" kit, I only had to cut the tail pipes about 6". Both were on 66 Polaras.

When I put a '72 Imperial "y-pipe back" "sewer pipe single" exhaust on my '67 Newport 383 4bbl, other than the larger pipe going onto the smaller y-pipe ball joint connection, the OTHER area which might not be considered is the "behind the axle" configuration. Notice the angle of the lower quarter panel on the '65-'68 C-body cars and compare that to a '72 C-body rear quarter panel lower area. The '67 has more angle to the rear bumper, whereas the '72 rear panel is mostly parallel to the ground. That makes the '72 need a lower rear pipe exit level lower than the '67 has, to be below the '72 rear bumper level. I had to get the rear pipe bent "upward" a bit by a muffler shop so it'd clear the Class I hitch that was on the car. Simple to get done at a muffler shop, once you show them what needs to be done. That was when we could still get Walker Exhaust OEM replacement pipes.

The '72 Imperial muffler is "C-body sized" and has the same low restriction of the smaller Street HEMI muffler, with 2.5" pipe fittings. "Chrysler" quiet", too.

The ONLY C-body to use the normal Street HEMI muffler was the '69 Polara 440/375 car. In police trim with a 2.76 rear axle and larger diameter OEM tires (L78? or L84? -15s), set the speed record for top end speed that wasn't broken until Chevy did the IROC-Z "police packages" in the later 1980s! Even then, the new-fangled Camaro wasn't but about 2mph faster with the 5.7L TPI motor. Just a hair under 150mph, either one. Annual Michigan Police Car tests, done on the Chrysler test track.

In '67, Chrysler 383/325 4bbl motors had a single exhaust system on them, but similar Plymouth and Dodge 2/4doors got the expected dual exhaust system. Same 325 horsepower rating on them all. Mine was an unmolested 86K mile car when I found it on a used car lot in '81. A trade-in on a new Chevy Citation, by the widow of the man who bought it new. 300-style pearl white bucket seat interior with a center armrest/cushion.

Enjoy!

It's a 383 with hp manifolds. I'll call them this week. I was told the hp manifolds were the same as non hp manifolds by tti quite a while ago when I was looking last.
