I don't know if I ever saw White Lightning. Clip didn't look familiar. Will try to find it tonight.
One of my favorites of his, even if he drove a Ford......... The next best was Hooper. Aw crap, forgot about WW and The Dixie Dancekings, haven't seen that in a long time though. Nemmind, I like most of his.

I also heard he was a hell of a football player at a southern college somewhere b4 he got mangled up pretty good. I saw a resto car show a couple years back where a couple guys restoring a trans am brought the glove compartment door to his house and he signed it. It was cool as hel but also sad to see him with a cane and not doing that great. Hadn’t seen him since he revised boss hog. It was a bit of a shock.

I'm bummed as hell. He was absolutely one of my favorite actors. If you watch the blooper reel at the end of "Cannonball Run", you will come to the sad realization that all 14 superb and funny as hell. actors in that last blooper scene, are all now dead.

In a time when there are no actors worth looking upon as heroes or role models, Burt was one of the last few remaining actors who one could look upon in that light.

I would say 1/5th of my movie collection has Burt in a starring role.

He could play any role and bring that charm of his to the character.

He will be missed.

One of the greats, R.I.P..

He played ball at Florida State. My sister worked on his ranch training horses in the late '70's, she never did meet him. My wife will still ask if I want something particular for a meal even though she knows my answer is gonna be "shakey puddin".

Cool, like joe Walsh said, I’ve got a mansion forget the price. I’ve never been there they tell me it’s nice. Lol the ranch probably never met him either. He was a very busy man in the late 70s. I still catch a movie of his that I’ve never seen from time to time that I have not seen. Older ones like Navajo joe & one where he dies at the end. Can’t remember the name but I remember that Morris the cat was in it and actually had billing in it. Lol

Watching WL now. I must of been really young when I saw this. I remember some of the scenes. Watching till the end, I don't remember the ending.

he's in heaven with his buddies jerry reed, jackie "buford t. justice" gleason and funny man dom" capt. chaos" deluise

"Boogie Nights" was the low point of his career imo. We walked out within 15 mins and got our money back.

RIP.
One of the heroes of my youth.
Lots of influence when I saw Bandit as a boy
