62 300 H convertible before and afters

A few shots of a 300H convertible I did a while back.
Special ordered car with 99 paint code.
Leather interior by Gary Goers.
Guages restored by JC Auto.

After removing the lead and bondo hiding rust in the lower quarters, I fabricated some new lower quarter panels and trunk extensions, and butt welded them in place.

Yes, that is the new panel shown with the drain hole. Last photo in that group. I duplicated the original panel.

I've got it now, 2 completely new pieces - beautiful work, owner must have been thrilled. You should attend the MCACN show in Illinois in November- quality restorers always welcome.

A bit of rust on the trunk floor was cut out and a new piece made and butt welded in too.

Looks great...I noticed the huge trunk springs as in my 300 "Special" If you were ever able to determine more specific production numbers. Mine has the options of 413,leather, sure-grip etc but especially the three speed manual floor transmission. I added outside rear view mirrors and the car has no P.S. or P.B.
