Without checking I'm going to say, one of one! What strikes me as odd, even as a hearse fan and former owner, this is the only one I have seen with a roof rack. What are you going to do? Bungee another casket to the roof!

Not a C Body, so it doesn't belong here.

Even so, interesting that is is in Australia. I looked at the eBay ad, motor size is not listed. Since the VIN is not a normal AMC, can't tell from it what size the motor is.

Interesting mods though; the oil filter is in the "wrong" place.

"Git 'er done" as they say in the trade.

Quarter Panel says it should be a 360 cu.in. engine.

I'm guessing some of the interesting mods were to accommodate the right hand drive changes.

It sort of became a Chrysler V8 when they took over Jeep as it was still used in the Wagoneer by then.

Ummm Flowers? I think as I've seen in UK Funerals is that they put the flowers on top of the hearse instead of a separate flower car.

BBC News | NORTHERN IRELAND | Dunlop makes final journey

Yes, flowers are the only logical explanation. I was simply saying that it is an unusual treatment and trying to add a bit of humour. Also odd is its colour, most hearses are black or grey (mine was dark grey with black crinkle roof), with the odd white one in the mix. This one's red! Very different.

Best of my knowledge the AMC 360 is not a mopar 360
Yep, it's a totally different animal. It is a member of the Gen 3 AMC V8 engine lineup. The 304, 360, 390 and 401. The 360 soldiered on until 1991 in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer

That is Gen 2. AMC only had two V8 families. The second was the 290, 304, 343, 360, 390, and the 401. All are externally identical, which is the problem with identification. Even though there is a tag on the valve covers that has a letter depicting the size (Z=401), the only real proof can be found here on the block just below the heads. If I were at home I could post a picture of the 401 we dropped into my Son's Gremlin.

Interesting! It's heading to the port where the Temperature gauge probe is.

Here's where I got my info, from what they say the 290, 343 and AMX 390 are short deck Gen 2 1966-70. The 304, 360, 390 and 401 are tall deck Gen 3 1970-1991

Sorry man, but that is typical of Wikipedia to get it wrong. Only the 390 and 401 were "tall decks." The 304 and 360 were punched out 290 and 343 motors for smog purposes, similar to the Mopar 383 becoming the 400 and the 340 going to 360.

In the article it says the 401 was available up through '79. One would think, then, that it was manufactured in all those years. But it wasn't. 401 manufacture ended in '75. Like the Mopar 440, it was still used for several years after it was no longer made. Unlike the 440, it was found in many passenger cars and Jeeps. The 440 was relegated to Motorhome use only.

AMC motors are good power makers. They also have the highest nickle content of any American V8, so their ability to be re-bored many times is high. The 401 we built was bored .030 over. An AMC guy (Doug, owner of American Parts Depot), when I told him it was .009 out of round, said, "So you took it to a Chevy man. You killed three rebores." Perhaps, but this 30 over motor will kick ***! The man who did the machine work on it said, "I thought Mopars were expensive to do work on; I've now found a motor that costs more!" HA!

Haven't really been able to figure out what this puke bottle is all about.

G day guys this car im selling.
It had a fuel pump issue when we took photos so had a bottle and pump in place just to get it running its all fixed and running sweet now.
Unfortunately we couldn't 100% confirm the engines capacity so left it we didn't want to give a bum steer.
If any one can help me to confirm engine size that would be great.
As mentioned it has 360 badges and is an SST.
These Australian assembled cars could have had different engine and trim variances to what the American market got.
Cheers

Chances are the engine is the AMC 360 as it was things like heaters, seats, carpets etc that were usually left out of the CKD (completely knocked down) kits.

The RHD dash is probably an Aussie only unit as well, unless kenosha made the cars in RHD before boxing them for shipment. All the best with your sale.
