As long as we're bitching... maybe it's just my hang-up, some form of autism... But do we really have to say "not mine" on every damn sale ad that we repost? It's like nails on a chalkboard. "No ****, I thought you owned 23 cars located all over the country and decided to post them all for sale today."

How about I just assume it's NOT yours, but if it does belong to you, (or your uncle-cousin), just say "This is my car".

That one is somewhat useful for the poster. It reduces the the PMs that he might otherwise get since the introduction of the "contact Seller" button. The old-timers here know, but many of the newer members don't.

People who aren't bright enough to see the craigslist/hemings/ebay formatting won't be slowed down in their stupidity.

"Is this item still for sell?"

My fury was on page 5 PAGE 5 as a gold member my ad sould be page 1 as with other gold members unlessit a (not mine ad)

I agree on the "not mine". Every so often when you are re-posting sale adds found elsewhere, someone will mistakenly contact you about the car. Just tell them it's not yours and move on.

I don't mind much of the for sale stuff grabbed off of Craigslist, but some judgement should be used when choosing what to post. It should really be the more uncommon stuff or good deals. We don't need to know about every low line Dodge and Plymouth sedan available across the country, since no one here ever buys them. Good colors, good options, good price, and scarcity, should be considered. Most all wagons should be posted on scarcity alone.

An example of something that should never have been put up, and I believe it's been posted three times here. This is simply scrap metal. It's overpriced junk, for sale by a delusional seller. If someone is in the marked for this, they can find it on their own.

Maybe there should be a separate page for stuff pulled off the web vs. member adds.

Can the board handle two more categories, or is it maxed out?

1. C-Body for sale non-members

2. Non C-Body for sale non-members

Guess I don't mind the posts, if I don't want to look at every one I simply pass by. But reading most are a good way to sip on my morning coffee and lurk for a while. Never know, even the ones deemed not worthy by others may be what another person is wanting or needing for parts etc......I applaud the effort!!

It might be a bit much, but I think the motivation is trying to get people who might buy a car to use it or fix it rather than crush it. I'm a little biased as I've seen a few come through like this that were/are interesting to me.

FWIW none of it bothers me. I simply skip over them like I did this morning.

I for one applaud @Wildbunch02 for taking the time to make the post AND add the link AND add pics. He's got the trifecta. It may help someone in now or in the future.

Well I'm not sure of his motives, but, damn, that's a commitment to post that much.
He's putting in some work.

It's just PW'ing..

At one time I asked Joey to tag Stan with "Captain PW" when post numbers went crazy. :D I have very little pull.

1. C-Body for sale BY members

2. Non C-Body BY members

3. C-body for sale Elsewhere

4. Non C-body for sale. Elsewhere

How about this? It solve the whole "not mine"... we could even build in a disclaimer that says "do not contact the poster".

I do like seeing/discussing the occasional jade-green Mercury Grand Marquis, but agree that shouldn't bump down a member's car.

:)Ok, sorry if I annoyed anyone. I still consider myself a newbie to the forum and I thought I was adding to it. I enjoy the analysis between the members. Have a nice day.

The “not mine” can be just as annoying as the “thumb” hiding the license plate in most CL pics, LOL!

What’s wrong with junk? I love this stuff!
