Not mine, but didn't see this here.

RARE CLASSIC: '75 PLYMOUTH GRAN FURY III BROUGHAM

Looks a little rough for what they are asking in my opinion.

Love the color! I'm in at $2500.

Actually, maybe less if the interior smells as bad as it looks like it might.

I like how the seller avoided mentioning, or showing pictures of, the blown out rear window.

Wow good eye!! Or maybe just a blanket to protect the glass since the rear half of the car is out from under the carport? Maybe..

I'll pay for the gas if you decide to check it out. :steering:

I am curious as to what kind of shape it's actually in.
No need. I've already reached out, if I get a reply and can work out a viewing, I was going to tire kick this one anyhow.

PM a phone number if you are thinking you might want to purchase her... I don't see me getting her unless the owner really wants to trade for an old BlueBird...

This one has been listed for quite awhile, (think I posted it).

"VERY RARE"

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

There's a cheaper 2dr one in sandiego.craigslist.org that's on round 2.

Is it wrong to like four doors more than coupes on a lot of these c-bodies?

Certainly not. The way Chrysler did the roof on the '74-'77 Plymouth and Dodge coupes is terrible, a deal breaker for me. Should have had a sloped rear window like the Chryslers.

Slightly high-jacking this thread, what about the pinstriping along the upper ridge of the side? Apart from this car, I noticed it on a 1974 Gran Sedan, with a vertical stripe on the rear cap:

And on a 1974 Fury III sedan, without a vertical stripe on the rear cap:

As I could not find any reference to this feature in the Plymouth documentation at the 1970 Hamtramck Registry, I was wondering if this is some after-market add-on.

There's little doubt that the green car has been repainted and the pinstripe is not original. The car is also missing quite a bit of trim: wheel openings and rocker.

This one that just got posted today, appears to be original paint and possibly original striping.

I just noticed that the striping on the hardtop is very different. I don't have any '74-'77 Fury sales brochures to see which is correct. It's also possible that the pinstripes were all put on by the dealer and not the factory. Could also vary by year. The sedan is a '77 and the hardtop a '75.

If you have one of these cars, and plan to put a pinstripe on it, I would just use whichever style you like the best.

If you have a tutone NYB... liberties can be taken with pin striping... to quote management "Wow, you should get this... It's sparkly..."

BTW... still no reply from the FL seller... :realcrazy:

Yep, that's the standard Gran Sedan/Gran Coupe/Brougham pinstripe for 1974-1977, neatly along the shoulder line. The higher-placed pinstripes shown above must be a non-original thing, then.
It's just that three such cars seen within two months or so made me wonder if there was something more to the story.

I forgot to mention what bothers me most about those stripes:

After-market, OK, but are they "period-correct"?

Contacted owner (lives in NC), rear window was broken by homeless person who slept in back seat. Don't want to think about the condition of that seat or the smell, plus this car hasn't run in some years either...sheesh! $1500 car in the present condition, max, imo.

More to come... for now... preserving the ad.
CLASSIC '75 PLYMOUTH FURY - $5700 (CENTRAL FLORIDA)
1975 Plymouth Fury III Brougham, 4-door, very LOW mileage (approximately 68,000 original miles) and only one owner - my Mother (coming from my Mother's Estate) - $5,700 - OBO!!! Clear Title. Ready for purchase. This is a VERY RARE 43 year old Classic in good condition that's worth even more than "Blue Book', 'NADA', or what I'm asking. It needs very little minor work.
