Its been for sale for a couple of months....first listed at $5500 or $6000.

Dave

Like the current owner....

Like Dave said this has been for sale for the past year and might have head gasket issues IIRC

Indeed it was listed for (CAD?) 5.5k as of Sept. 23, 2018. The phone nbr routes to the owner of a towing company.

Looks like you guys both know more about the car. Can you share some more details?

i think it is a great deal. if I could I'll buy it right now but I am quite broke.

I'd be careful on this one. First off, the Toronto area is well known for rusty cars. Secondly, I'm always concerned when I see cars that are missing all their trim, though that does seem to be a common theme on these '70 Monaco coupes. I think cornering lights were standard on Monacos, so those holes have been patched or covered in some way. A hands on inspection would be a must on this car.

Good point. Indeed, they were standard on US models based on the ordering guides I've seen. I have not seen a Canadian ordering guide, though.

I just talked to the owner. He's had the car for 10+ years. New headliner/carpets/interior. The car has some heating issues that he has not resolved. The car was originally a 318, he put a 440 in.

I already have a small block 'vert and what I am looking for is an original BB coupe as a companion. So, I am out.

Then you should have bought the Buffalo 71 Monaco. The perfect car for what you do.

Hi Dave! I seriously considered it. Decided against it, in part due to repaint in a color that is far from my favorite.

Get him to move off the fifteen .... tenish maybe. The more I think about it the more I want it again.

In its original shape prior to the repaint, I'd very likely have bought it even though, as a common friend has judiciously pointed out, I'd be better off with a car that needs nothing.

PS: Has it not sold? I thought it had.

I just came across the ad when it was first posted. I didn't have enough interest to contact the seller. No more projects for this guy.
