One owner garaged, runs great, new tires, new front brakes, all maintenance done, new battery, 400 CID 4 barrel carb, limited slip differential, needs tailpipe, gas gauge not functioning, minor scratch on right rear quarter panel, some headliner bubbling and minor chrome pitting.

This car is new enough to have the foam backed cloth headliner that is bonded to the cardboard panel. It might be starting to separate and droop.

Looks like a bargain. Glad it's not a New Yorker as if it were, I would be very tempted.

This car is about a half hour from me so if someone is truly interested in this car and has spoken with the owner, I could see if I could look at it. Too bad it doesn't have license plates. If it did I'd suggest having the seller drive the car to me so I could put it up on my lift.

Just for curiosity, I sent an email to the seller with some questions and he states that the car was his fathers, who passed away. States 35k not 135k and that the a/c and wipers work. Also states that the car is now registered with license plates.

I never laid on eyes on it and believe that it sold quickly since the Craigslist ad was deleted.

The high end interior for Newports are nice cloth patterns.

No leather available in Newports.

The last time i looked at a chrysler project car was in 93.I had already gotten rid of my last New yorker,broke,no money.But i found a Newport Custom,I think it was a custom,It was ziebarted,all those funny plugs,Blue metallic paint,blue checkered cloth interior,power everything,a.c.,cruise,pb,pw.St.Regis roof.Had those beautiful heavy chrome wheel covers with the octagonal center hub.See these on cordobas more than anything.400 4brl.But i could,nt get it started because the owner let it sit for ever without starting it.It had no rust on it.You could have washed and waxed it and it would have been a beautiful car.That blue checkered interior was the 1st time i saw that type of interior.I loved that car.heh. oh well. we a llll know what that,s like.B.B
