Per the Mopar Perf Race Manual, for a scoop to be effective, it needs 30 square inches of opening. Pretty much what those particular scoops have.

Of course, those larger and wider tires on the rear are to compliment the load carrying ability of the rear suspension? Use the P225/70R-15s on the front so it maintains a semblance of steering response. Back when the "Front Runner" narrow wheels were popular on street cars (inspired by the similar wheels on drag race cars), it was a given that you only went around corners slowly, lest it put the tires on their sidewalls from cornering forces. NOT a good idea in modern times when traffic moves faster than it used to, to me. "The Look" isn't worth bent sheet metal and all that might come with it.

Good to see you having fun! I'm kinda anti scoop, but do what you like... I don't actually hate that look on your car.

Works for me. I'd like to do oversize tires on the back but can't find much in 14" whitewall.

That scoop looks like it could be a factory "sport hood". Unlike the dodo that put those scoops on Stan's NY'er which totally looked out of place.

Nice! I even like the paint the way it is. Scoop ? Either way ,,but I would wait cause it's hard to change your mind after it's done.

I recommend to remove (and put in storage) the hood ornament. It looks like the scoop is about to suck it in. Just my two cents, so do what you want.
