Anyone read the MOPAR Collectors Guide? I have never heard of it. I just picked it up at the newsstand for $5.95. Vol 31 No. 12. I think it was worth it just for the vendor ads that are good sources for me/us. But, there is an article called Herb McCandless Tips and Tricks that has some GREAT stuff. Just thought I would share one that I will keep in mind:

I used to get a subscription from them yrs ago, it's a quality mag. I used to be able to pick them up at the grocery store and carry outs but I haven't seen them around for yrs now. I figured they were gone and not being published anymore. I'm gonna have to look them up online and start getting it again.
Chrysler power was good too

I am partial to having some non digital reading around and all the old Mopar stuff I used to subscribe to doesn’t exist anymore, so I subscribed to MCG. Through 4 months it’s been worth it.

MCG has been around for ages. The earlier ones used to have lots of "For Sale" ads, but the newer ones don't seem to. Still lots of neat articles that other magazines just don't have. The new Chrysler Power isn't like the earlier magazine, from what I've seen. Used to like the old MoPerformance Magazine, too.

They did bring back the classified ads, but I think the interwebs has cut into that action, like every other aspects of buying things today. I got a complete GT interior for my '67 Dart from the pages of MCG years ago. Someday I'll actually install it!

Didn't know that Chrysler power started back up, last I heard they had gone under. That was a favorite of mine. I used to get 4 different mopar mags but let a couple go, they had no C body articles, and reruns of the same B body cars, only so many restored b body's to do articles on over the yrs I guess. If they would do more c body articles I'm sure more people would buy them

I get MCG and Chrysler Power magazines. Prefer print vs. reading on my phone. Something still special abt turning pages. Both have their high points and enjoy them, maybe MGC a bit more.
Used to get MoPar Muscle too.....

I subscribe to Collectible Automobile. Pretty decent mag in my opinion.

Mopar Action is only on the Internet these days. Always did like E-booger's tech expertise and information. Mopar Muscle is a part of the HotRod Network.

Mopar action didn't make it to the second issue with the new owner? Or not much past it if they did? Always liked that magazine. They were like Chrysler Power in that any Joe could write an article about their car and send it in, and maybe make the magazine. E-Booger always has some good info, he will talk to you as long as you let him, nice guy from my experience meeting him.

I was wondering where David Rea from GYC went.. now I know. Thx

MCG...uhhgg..., Where's the vomit smiley.
Chrysler Power is fair but aimless and never finished anything.
Mopar action is the best, but is starting to be a one man show with Stunkard writing most. I'm sure it will level out now that the winter months are slowing the show season.

Used to subscribe to most of these...rapidly became a bad broken record. Cancelled my Mopar Action subscription over 20 years ago after receiving a back-handed response about my Imperial...he has a very low opinion of C bodies in general, I find.
All he could talk about was the "unsprung weight" of my car and C body factory parts...really? Dude... It's an Imperial...I'm not autocrossing it. Idiot.

I find the membership of this site FAR more knowledgeable than these clowns.

Agree. I actually sent a "letter to the editor" (back when that was a thing) after Rob Wolf more/less said C's were donor vehicles in an article back in the late 90s.

He responded back with some idiocy about "complex electrical systems"... Duh... Ever seen a Dart with power windows?

As for McCandless tips on starter motors; when was that written, 1985?

I used to subscribe to MCG years ago but the lack of recognition for our beloved C-bodies led me to consider not renewing my subscription. I see the staff of MCG every year at Carlisle and remind them to start featuring more full sized Mopars. If they were to walk through the show field full of C-bodies and Imperials they would find quite a few cars, and their stories, worthy of a feature article. Just my opinion.

I used to get the magazine, but they became too obsessed with "survivors" in my opinion. Haven't even read one in over five years.

They're contributing to the Velocity channel "cars as investments" BS...whatever happened to car guys? Ruining the hobby...
