Supposed to keep spark scatter down between terminals. I get the theory, just personally never had a issue.

Man you DO get some cool stuff! I got my last dizzy cap w brass and spark rings for not much $$ laid out from Rock Auto, but it wasn't the lovely Mopar tan.

The Tan it seem everyone wants, to bad theu are not brass. Have to grab them when you see them!

Keeps the engine compartment original looking I guess. I just need a working, reliable vehicle in mine and that's what I got. You'll do well on these I'm sure.

I've read that the vents are to let any ionized air out, from the HV activity in there.
I'm not really convinced that any random moisture is going to get trapped in there, and if you get true water intrusion in there the vents are going to let it in more than they'll let it out.
Just my opinion.

I have read that also. Never had that issue either. The vent caps are kind of shaped like a trap on a drain, I am really not positive never had any issue either way except on the slants going through water. More of a sealing issue there.

Got a few black Prestolite caps in 55 shipped.

Where is Halifax, PA.??
Anywhere near Allentown??
I am here for the AG Hall show....
Could be interested in some of both --- regular 8 cyl.
(CH400 Standard) & the tall center tower (AL140 Standard)......

Just north of Harrisburg. A pretty good ways away from Allentown.
