1966 Chrysler New Yorker 2 Door Console Car. 440, 727, 8 3/4 big bearing diff. recently gone through and upgraded to green bearing. Original condition. P/S, Power Brakes, Power Windows, A/C, Vacuum Gauge. I have original wheels/hubcaps and new rubber. Currently on 24's with new rubber. ZERO RUST ! This car is 100% complete. First year Chrysler put a 440 in a car and first year disc brakes. Still original Budd Brakes. Only about 2100 two doors were made and the console was a special order option. You will not see another one like this in this condition. Car runs and drives just fine. It's not perfect by any means but I have no issue driving it to work or shows in Prescott.

One of my favorite slabs. Tempts me! But too many cars with my name on the title in AZ already.

Can't believe how nice the interior looks. I think I see a black California plat on the front.

2-door / console shift New Yorker - not many were made like this in '66. Well option'ed, and it has my favorite original wheel covers (disc brake for '66), AND the original Budd brakes to go with it. No mention of total miles, but the interior shows signs of a good life. Not a fan of the current wheels, but it comes with the originals, and that's an easy switch...... it's about 18 months too late for me, though.

Love this car.
You know, I've always been one to stand behind the saying, "Beauty is in the eye..."
By necessity: Someone married me!
But honestly, I see 20-plus-inch wheels and cannot help but visualize a pack of clowns spilling out all doors and a crowd of 12-year-old boys saying, "That's way cooooool!"

Is the mention of "not many console shift NY" an observation or a printed fact? I've got a 68 NY console shift and I also haven't seen many, just wondering

by '68 they were more prevalent, maybe since it went with the fastop package; but less so in '66. I have seen some 65-66's with buckets, but fewer with console shift...... I'm really liking the blue interior on your '68..... very nice.....

second owner added the aftermarket gauges on the console, I'd take them off but they do work good, same as the under dash am/fm

I just so happened to be in Phoenix for work this weekend and just happened to pick 1 of several car shows, this one less than a mile from my job site, to stop by yesterday and I saw this car and met the owner. Very nice vehicle with no surprises. I should've spent more time and taken photos but I was on a short break and needed to move on.

Very cool. So is he still trying to sell it?
