Sarge, I spoke to you on the phone a while back about the Newp. Thought I'd throw in a couple of the pix you sent me.
Sure would love it myself, but wifey would throttle me if I put a 10 mgp barge on our crowded drive.

Where in Pennsylvania is the car located ?

Nice clean car! That first pic of the quarter panel under side was very helpful.

In case Sarge doesn't look back here any time soon, I'll
Please educate me, why is asking for a city to go with the state a stupid question?
I think it was just a measure of sarcasm owing to the seller's (obviously) exasperated request. I've spoke to Sarge. Nice guy. Just probably had his fill of 13,000 questions about what is a really nice Newp.

That wasn't directed at you, rather the seller. His second post is to sell a car, likely why he joined, and we are to accept his word that it's worth what he wants for it - with no photos or other indications that it even exists much less that it's intact. So I was intimating that he may consider a question as to its location as a waste of his time. "Just hop in your car and check it out."

Are u interested in seeing the car? The people i spoke to on the phone have been sent lots of pics of the car....car is loacated in johnstown ,, if you want photos call or text me ,

Nice car.
I wish there were more pics but I am just an admirer.
It is quite a phenomenon that a person has to have a high swimmer count to sell their nice car for a very fair price on here.

Discussed on this board before. I agree with @drpreposterous -- the seller is forthcoming with information and photos. I ended up finding a '71 Monaco and decided to pass on this Newport, but I seriously considered it on the basis of the many detailed photos I received, the answers to my questions, and my assessment that the seller was responsive. He was nice enough to give me a chance to reconsider before posting here. :thankyou:

Sorry for the confusion, I was simply asking why when KP1226 asked where the car was located in PA there was an implication it was a stupid question. I'm neck deep in my current project and am not looking for any more cars at this time. Thanks.

Looks like a really nice 2dr Newport. Original, looks clean, and in good body & mechanical condition. If i already didn't have a c-body, this would be definitely on top of my list! The price is very fair if in the condition stated by the seller. Good luck with it!

yes, looks like a nice clean driver for reasonable money.
And what happens?
Nothing, no one steps up.
Later on some will complain again when it takes a boat overseas

funny you say that because seems the only people that are serious buyers are the guys from over seas..

they are popular overhere.
Currently the USD/EUR exchange rate isn't the best for us but there is still a high demand for those cars.

I just wonder why no on in the US steps up.
Strong economy, not many unemployed so people should be in a buying mode.

Carsten

Love to buy it.
Same issue here the exchange rate not good plus the difficulty getting a U.S car into Canada has gotten worse with the required broker needed.
That and No place to put it since I sold my house back in August.
I really do miss having a 20x40 garage.
