I am asking because I am an A body fan. However I scored a 68 fury fasttop last October and as soon as I get a few more things in order with it, I will be attempting to drive it daily.

Currently, I have a 68 dart as daily transportation and I clocked 16,231 miles in 2018.

The dart is my only transportation by choice. It's not in show condition, just a decent original driver with faded paint. I drive it because I believe these cars were built to drive and my fury is no different. IMO

My parents offered to buy me a new car a few times, under the condition I get rid of the old car. Not a freaking chance!!!!.

At my office, people make comments because everyone has brand new hybrids and electric and plastic jap crap..... then here I come in dress clothes on my duct taped seats (quick fix to worn and cracked vynil is to duct tape and paint, works like a charm)

I plan to replace the dart with the fury for daily commutes, long enough to spruce up the dart and then switch them out when one needs to come down for cosmetic and/ or mechanical work to remain in service.

How many drive a C body for transportation and how many miles do you clock a year?

With the Imperials, hard to say exactly since I don't measure this topic specifically... I drive them almost everyday (everyday that's relatively nice, some rain, no storms or hail risk) from April to November in Minnesota... after work for maybe 15-20 miles locally to cabin, grocery, hardware, liquor store, etc...any excuse to drive them with the pups... I have never logged actual mileage or determined miles/gallon. Always at the pumps with one of them, though... Exercising them is number one pastime next to cutting grass in these good months.

I don't drive mine enough.

my daily is what you call plastic jap crap, it's small a 5 speed manual and gets 33mpg for being 15 y/o car and best part is i'm no longer making any payments on it and it's dependable.

But it doesn't give me the pleasure like my newport does when i take it for a cruise

Last summer I was making the three hour trip(each way) to Buffalo from here to visit my dad. Almost every weekend at one point.
So all my cars got a lot of exercise. Love them all in their own way. I've got a sister in law that's always asks how many miles per gallon do I get, of course she asks with attitude, I tell her what's it to you! I'm having fun, get off my back.

I drive mine about once a week just to keep everything working right. I'd say around 60 miles a week, so I'd guestimate approximately 3,200 a year. I had her out yesterday to take my 89 yr old mom to dinner. She LOVES this car!
My daily driver is a 1990 Beretta Indy with 144K and still going strong.

My Fury gets out once during the week and at least once over the weekend. Dinner to our local diner and church on Sunday. Maybe 20 miles total.

We are fixing to embark on a 1500 mile trip in our "plastic jap crap" '04 TSX. 285000 miles, 33mpg, and dependable as the day is long. My wife loves her little car. @Rainy Day Auto, just teasing you about the "plastic jap crap" comment. I understand your context.

I used to, then I got lazy. Mostly, I got cheap and had to have something newer when gas was pushing $4/gal and I was driving 75 mi/day round trip to work. So I picked up a couple newer ones I couldn't stand and dumped them, ended up with an 06 300 that I drove 'til I retired a couple years ago. Saw a newer truck on the lot when I took the 300 in for the airbag recall that I really lusted for so I bought that and mostly drive it for the creature comforts and save the older ones for special events or Sunday drives mostly. Of course, salted roads in the winter hurt my driving potential up here.

I try to spread it out among the nine collector cars but also tailor the car to the event and if going with friends bring something alike or totally different.

Living in town (DC), my "daily driver" is the subway or bus. None of my cars get driven much, not even my regular driver, a 1992 Plymouth Acclaim, which I think saw 2K last year. Traffic patterns complicate driving something nice. Rush/peak times can be pretty stressful, and the capital beltway can feel like a chariot race, even in a big New Yorker. In the 8 months I have had it, it has logged about 700 miles, and a third of that was going to Hershey/back. I normally use it for please trips to the burbs to visit family, go to a show, etc.

The Fury had 58K on the clock when the resto was complete in 2015. 63K at the end of 2018 season so that's only a little more than 1000 miles /yr. It was never intended to be a daily driver.

Our '66 Newport got abt 4000 miles on it last year, the '69 Coronet wagon abt 400 and the '78 D150 abt 2500 including the drive home from Denver when purchased.
Sold the wagon for the '62 Polara, which may not get on the road this year since I'm redoing the interior and some engine mods. Hope to drive the '62 300 a lot!!
Bought 'em to drive!!!

my only goal for this year is to drive my car than my boss does his 2 '73 ford gran torino

Back in the day, I drove my Fury everywhere and clocked lots of mixed highway and city driving. Other than replacing tires, belts and points it was very dependable. These cars love to be driven, minimal mileage like most get today is deadly.
