I could not say no to this Nice Lebaron Convertible, ready for the summer
I know its far from our Beautiful Formals, but I have always liked driving them with the top down they have a nice easy feeling and soft ride. Not fast but ho needs fast when crusing top down on a summer night...

Is she an 86?
Nothing stopping you driving it now with the top down.
Wear a big winter coat and throw the skiis in the back seat.
No different than riding a snowmobile,LOL!!
Congrats on the purchase.

I had a 83 400 coupe and it was a fun car to drive.
Sold it to finance the completion of the BoaB.

Thanks!
Yes they are that simple :) its an 1984 with the base 2.2 so really very little maintenance.

F.I or Holley 2bbl?
No issues when I had my 2.2 2bbl.

Yeah if it had the Mitsu 2.6 in it I would run away from it.

convertibles are more popular than you think.
My screen name is SuperK in there,LOL

84 was first year for FI and Turbo.
The computer quit in this gem rendering it not running and nobody makes them anymore.
Sadly, this was THE LAST E class turbo car registered in Ontario but I had no choice but to junk it.

We bought an 83 E-Class when new and loved it. It looked exactly like the one in the picture. I keep hearing the 2.6 was a problem - I don't know with what - but I had no problems in 77,000 miles. And then I foolishly traded it in. I wish I had kept it. I've thought about pushing the button on one of those convertibles. It would be a lot of fun and they go pretty cheap.

My oldest son had a slightly newer version. It was a fun car to drive and his first convertible. He's on his fourth or fifth 'vert now.

To bad, but let me tell you I have been driving my Lebaron on the snow these last two days and in handles it beautifully :steering:
Lite car and FWD does the job.

That's very nice! I like it
how many miles on it? is it a 2.6 or 2.2 engine?
2.6...it has 120,000 miles. NEVER driven in winter. My mom stored it every year. Put some money into it lately, carb rebuilt, CV joints, springs and struts. Still rides like a dream, and the air does work!

Can you tell, what these FWD LeBarons are like on the road? I mean handling, hard/soft suspension, etc.

It typical of the Chrysler FWD platform of the time. I didn't drive it that much. It was a long time and many cars ago so I don't remember any particulars other than it was a fun car mostly because the top went down.
