Not debating if it looks good or not but I am trying to find out what kind of scoops those are. It almost looks like its a whole fiberglass hood.

I'm looking to do something with my hood since the clearcoat is peeling anyways.... no funds for a correct repaint.

Without seeing the inside of the hood, it is hard to tell. Do not think anybody made a custom hood for '67-'68 sport fury. Most likely hood scoops were a universal item that was grafted to a stock hood. These look better than most.

I agree, they look like they are bigger than the superbee scoops... I think they look pretty decent on that large hood... I've been throwing that scoop idea around for a couple years now but have not found anything decent enough yet. I could spotrepair the peeling clear coat on the hood but that would look shite because the existing clear has yellowed a little. Any new paint/clear is like a sore thumb. So I thought just paint the hood black and find a decent scoop or something.

Mid-'60s Mercury Comet performance car, as I recall. Not quite as tall or long, but of the same general configuration. Most of their drag race cars had something like that, just not quite as extreme.

Sad part is that is a real 383-4 4-speed convertible, I've seen it at the Flings.

Has anyone ever looked a grafting an air grabber set up? Granted, it's cost prohibitive since the kit itself is $1,500-$2k for reproduction. Just a thought, might look cool.

You spend all that time and money trying to make your car super cool with custom hood scoops and hood pins and you still end up with...

Looks like crap.

I remember years ago someone grafted a 69 Roadrunner type air grabber hood to a 69(?) Fury hood....looked pretty good.

The OP scoops look more like '64 Dodge SS hood scoops, just split in two pieces.

Still not a fan of scoops on C-bodies...
