This a very rare car. I forget the production numbers but I think they only made a few hundred.

I will be in Prague in a couple of weeks, maybe I should Czech it out.
Is that $20,000 US with shipping back to ND? I am intrigued by the look, But I am not allowed.

Your guess would be a close hit, though I don´t dare to promise.

@brougham brummel

The production number is hard to say more closely than FURYGT because these aren´t as much followed as SFGTs or 300 Hursts. Sportsgrain was made also in 68
and as the same body styles as in 69, so a convertible or a 2dr ht was available.

I would cost a fortune to ship it back.. no? Beautiful car though..

I´ve never shipped a whole car, but knowing that it´s more expensive From EU to USA, so I´d say that less than 4-5K won´t move a car.

I shipped cars to Germany and back a half dozen times or so while I was in the U.S. Army.

Cost of shipping was $0.00. I had to turn the car in 2 weeks before I flew across and for a small fee about $100 there would be a guy standing in the airport with a sign and I would jump in the car and drive away from the arrival area in the airport.

I'm sure it would be $2k - $3k one way plus whatever it would cost to get it inspected by customs. It's been a few years so you'll have to call a shipper to get an actual cost. I dont think American shippers cost as much as European shippers.

To West coast will cost about $750 more than to East coast based on my limited experience with shipping

Corporate Door to door container cost from Czech to Statesville,NC is around $4,000 for a 40' high cube container including duty fees and inland shipping. But that is a good rate as the company I work for probably ships a dozen or so containers a week (both directions). A good high volume freight broker could probably get close without inland freight.
If you found 2 cars to bring back it would cut the shipping in half. It would be a tight fit in a 20' 1/2 cube. Going through a freight broker it would be more. Supply and demand affects the cost. If they need more containers in the US shipping from Europe is cheaper and vice-versa. I have seen around $1000 difference for the opposite route, but think they are about even now.

When I was in, depending on the ship, we use to load service members vehicles on for the trip across the pond for free. On the carriers we use to load the lower decks and hanger bays with cars that would normally filled with aircraft, and on my amphibious ships which typically carry Marines and their military vehicles could be loaded with POV’s (privately owned vehicles).. those where the days.

I was in from 1976 -1996 and every time I shipped a car it went on commercial ship contracted by the U.S. government. Always in and out Bremerhaven Germany. All different places shipped out stateside. I was at Ft Biss, Tx and shipped my car from a commercial place in El Paso. Never been charged to ship either direction. I did pay s small fee to have my car taken through customs and waiting at the airport for me. I usually flew out Munich Germany and shipped my car from Augsburg Germany

As you know vehicles that were shipped under military orders where no charge, except additional customers fees which I paid as well when I had my Pontiac and Toyota shipped from South Carolina to Naples Italy. Other than that! not a dime..

Yep. I think you had to be an E4 and above with 2 years of service completed to be authorized to ship a vehicle.

not a great fan of the woody look, but i believe this is the one:

if you look further he has more vids. The price seems ok for this kind of rare ride.
