Also, am I the only one who believes that our beloved C-bodies aren’t really “big cars”? It seems like every time I park near a new car, I’m struck by just how big they are comparatively. Anyway....

Yeah, I mean I know she’s big, but somehow our older stuff is so much more sleek...I guess when I said big I really meant bulky. I think my Newport is roughly 3900lbs, which is also not bad at all vs a new carI´d say that it´s only the different styling theme that gives a visual aspect, like what you see on the pic #3. The Chrysler is squared-off and low, when the Cadillac is bubble-like and high. Your 66 Newport is 219`` in total length and 79.5`` in width, both of which are equaled or exceeded only by trucks and specialty vehicles nowadays.
That said, nice pics!

Wow she’s a beauty!! I love seeing sister cars to mine, especially when they’re in that great of shape.Love the 2 door Newport’s. I have this yellow one. 383 with AC. Hasn’t been on the road since 2004. It’s next in line to be revived now that my New Yorker is up and running.

Not as big as a Fusie or a Formal, and just a couple/few hundred pounds heavier than a B body.these '65-'66 coupes are not big or heavy.
Ya know, I don’t really have too many decent interior pics. I’ll have her out for some maintenance, tuning, a wash and some test drives tomorrow so I’ll make sure to get some.Hey Slappy's Garage, any more pics of your car? Interior and a few more close ups of the motor? It looks great from the pics you have already posted.

Totally. From what I’ve seen, Newports were generally more stripped down, almost entry level type cars compared to the New Yorkers or 300s. Mine has/came with little options..no power windows, or seats. 383, 2bbl, bench seat, AC, AM radioAwesome! Thank you! It’s fun to see how other cars were optioned and appointed. I got my Newport in the garage tonight. Time to start bringing her back to life.
