Aftermarket transmission pan thoughts wanted

It’s a thick, heavy made thing. I believe you could lay it on the ground and run over it with a New Yorker and not hurt it.

Maybe a feather dust, the answer is still "i wouldn't do that"

Hello all
I tried using a similar pan on my 68 polara
Looked great but scary low ground
clearance would never make it over speed bump..if its below frame you will scrape it off eventually. As to the spacer Mopar sell a stock spacer adapter .
Mopar Performance Transmission Filter Spacers P4510054
Thru summit.
My advice mock it in place and see if ground clearance would remain acceptable.

Did it need spacers, and if so were they supplied? I am in the market for a new pan, and shopping around for best deal up to around $100

I'm assuming you mean for the filter- so yes, it came with the spacer, new bolts, filter and the good, reusable pan gasket. In fact, I just bought another one last week for the Fury. Very nice piece.

My alum pan in my 91 gmc weeps.....when it comes to alum parts l try to avoid now...to many quality issues from using alum parts

I stumbled across this pan while looking for something else the other day. I’m thinking about putting it on my 72 Polara when I put it back together.
Does anyone have any experience or opinion on these? Is the filter spacer necessary? I assume that the stock dipstick is retained and that the level of the fluid is the same, just more quantity? If that is correct, why move the filter down towards any bad stuff that might accumulate in the bottom of the pan?
I’ll be running a very mild 360 build and this is probably overkill but, I’ve got it and it couldn’t hurt, right?

Reminds me of the old Art Carr aluminum transmission pan I have for a Ford C-4.
Art Carr has since gone out of business.
Regarding the filter spacer, you need to use the spacer as others have suggested.
