Bombing around in the beater Imperial

Thanks again @66l78rat for selling this stereo...it showed up in great shape, packaged very well! It will work perfectly in the old Blimp

Now you´ve to wait for her asking: "Daddy, may I get an Imperial like yours?"
She will be welcome to drive most anything I own. But the way things look now, she's laid claims to the Stealth R/T :p

Like you even have any 8 track tapes.... HA!
Do you even know what one looks like...
You young punks think you know everything...
bull-pucky............ !!
Dang, I got rid of three boxes full of 8 track tapes a few years ago, if only I would have known...

Ha! The 1st vehicle that was truly my own (1977 Chevy K5 Blazer 4x4) had an 8 track and a box full of KISS tapes

I still have a batch of 8 tracks and a Craig underdash player. Oh, and an 8 track deck for the house system to record....... think I have a couple blank tapes around someplace too.

My neighbor that moved last year gave me a bunch of cassettes and a couple 8 tracks that I had forgotten about.

I'd imagine $72 back in 1976 was some decent buying power!

Btw, as much as I dislike the front of the fusey Imps, your driving project is making them grow on me.
Totally understand how you feel. When I joined this site, it was basically because of the fond childhood memories of my parents blue 72 Imperial. After scouring this place for the past year or so I've developed a taste for wagons, and I'd like to eventually get examples of both a slabside and a formal.

Tearing into the master control panel to replace some broken toggles...had to dissasemble 3 junkyard units to get enough parts.

Any recommendations on a product to clean these contacts, or will any old contact cleaner do?

I remember @Big_John mentioning something about a product that works great on electrical stuff. Im not sure if this is the right application for it, but I do remember people were raving about it.
