Has anyone used this vendor? I've been looking for a vendor for molded hood pads for a while and this is the first time I've seen one for a 69 Fury. I just wanted to see if anyone has any knowledge of the quality/correctness of these hood pads.

I bought a set from EBay last year for my 75 NYB.. fit fine and looks great.. they’re not molded like you’re looking for, mine are flat panels cut to size. I’m happy. Hope this help ya.

That link shows only B body. I searched his store and couldn't find any C body listings in a molded pad.

You're right, I got excited and didn't read the whole ad. I was searching for Fury parts and this popped up. Should have known. LOL.

A word of advice based on some friends experiences. Have it delivered to Carlisle vs. having it shipped and carefully check it out to make sure it is not damaged. These are fragile and get damaged very easily during shipping.

Nigel Mills at www.nationalmoparts.com sells moulded hood pads - don't know what years/models, but it's worth enquiring.

Thanks!

Looks like he sells both a moulded pad and an non-molded repro pad for fusie C-bodies. The quoted Chrysler part number, I believe, is 2898207. The site says that each pad is $38.95.

It seems that MoparMall sells one with "correct clips" for $158+$46 S&H=$204 whereas MuscleManiacs sells one (again the REM one, if I understand correctly) for $139+$59 S&H=$198 for a Fury and $30 more for a Polara (why the difference, I know not!).

Has anyone ordered one from any of those three vendors? What about the clips?

Edit: attaching photos that show the same pattern on the metal of the hood ('71 Polara without pad) and one side of the MuscleManiac pad, suggesting it would fit right in.

I found an older (2013) thread on the topic, suggesting that the REM unit fits well. @MrMoparCHP, @bluefury361, @bulldogchesty, @Limey, others -- did you buy the REM molded hood insulation pad and, if so, can you please confirm your experience 5 years later?

Looks great, I think a little thick, little difficult to get the clips in and not have them pop out.
