Hello everyone, I know it has been a long time since I posted on the site, and I had an extremely good reason for it. I am posting the reason here because it happened on the trip to San Jose. The good news is the repairs I needed on the car went great, the bad news is the rest of the trip went totally downhill. As I posted earlier in other thread, I went out there to see what would happen with a certain lady, well I found out that the line from the Johnny Rivers song, "Secret Agent Man" is so true, "A pretty face can hide an evil mind" and the best way to say it is we are no longer seeing each other.
On March 5th, as I was loading my car to leave and come home, I took a bad fall down a flight of stairs, I broke my left arm in three places, and damaged the replacement of my left hip, and tore the tendon going from my back, and groin into my left leg. I did not pass out after the fall, but did pass out when they tried to place me on the back board, waking up in the emergency room. Thank the lord I did not hit my head, or break my neck, or spine. I was taken and admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, I did get good treatment from them, but was transferred to Plum Tree rehabilitation Center on the 7th. The care I received from them was absolutely terrible. They did not even address my broken arm until the 19th, and had surgery to repair it on the 20th. If any of you end up in a situation like I did DO NOT EVER USE THEM FOR CARE. I ended up walking out of the facility on the 31st Against Medical Advice.
I spent the next four days in a motel, until my son could fly out and drive me back to Chicago, (2500 miles). The trip took four days, and was pretty hard on both of us, I am very lucky to have good children. Now that I am home I have seen my doctors and am healing well, I start physical therapy next week and will have to go three times a week for the next six weeks.
For this reason I have decided to put my 1966 300 up for sale, I do not know how well I will end up after all this, but probably will not be able to work on it this year. I will post it here first in another thread when I can so look for it.
I really want to thank two members who I have become good friends with, John Miller, (Moparnutcase), and Alex Arcadia, (GG1). THEIR PHONE CALLS REALLY HELPED BEING STRANDED SO FAR AWAY FROM HOME ALL BY MYSELF.
