I'm embarrassed that Canada would send them our trash.
I'd like to know what douche bag Canadian company sent the containers of garbage to them in the first place.
Makes me angry actually.

I agree to a certain extent.
This is a global issue & not just Canada that has done this to other countries.

What really burns my toast is the fact that there was & in most cases still an environmental disposal fee on just about everything these days and it does jack squat other than line the coffers in parliament.

Personal recent experience was a min fridge I bought died just after warranty.
I hauled it to the local refuse site and was told I needed to purchase a $20 voucher for disposal.
I argued that I had paid up front & they didn't give a crap and said i couldn't dispose of it unless I paid again.

I then took it to a proper recycler an they told me that they evac'd the system, claimed the freon back and paid me scrap metal prices on top of this.

Again it burns my toast when we have to put up with this kind of theft from our government.
