The Formal Photo Thread

I guess I should clarify that on Road Wheels from 70-79 The centre area was painted argent, or Sauterne (in the case of the 300 Hurst). The only factory colour keyed road wheel from the factory was the Hurst wheels. You can clearly see the factory look on the rim in the pic from 75LandYacht with the new tire. By the way, the road wheel should not be body colour under the trim ring. It should be black.

Mostly what I wanted to say but I thought best to have it heard from an authority.

Easy enough to restore. I have restored 2 sets rather easily and I think they look good.

Thank you Mr. C for the clarification. I guess because I’m so in love with this color that the painted Rim and center appliqué look really nice.. but looking at the Rims in person, if that wasn’t factory or done at the dealer, somebody went through an awful lot of trouble in detail to do it! Just say’en

If you like it, keep it. That's a detail only a handful would ever pick up on anyhow.

I believe Stan painted his red on his NYB. Your car....do it your way. Myself I like Argent. If I was going to do something different it would have to be body color.

No one would even notice except us C-body guys.

Agreed... We're strange that way...

BTW, I noticed that your radio is not stock while lurking through your garage.
And by "garage"... I mean at your house not on the FCBO garage here...:D

UNACCEPTABLE!!! You must replace it immediately!

I see Stan has a nice AM/FM NOS unit that would be right at home for sale...

I rarely if ever use the radio. If I do....I plug in my IPod and listen to the 22,000 songs I have on it. Again, I rarely listen to the radio. I would rather listen to the engine.

Speaking of Radios.. anyone have a power antenna Switch? Or know where I can find one? My 77’s is broke’ded... lol

I'm not to worried about keeping the car original after this....
