I pulled the trigger on 2019 Scat Pack Charger

...

I bet Graham's dealership doesn't run like this!

I'll let you know next week.:D Actually last year when I picked up the Challlenger, they wouldn't give me the second key fob until I could show them the registration in my name (due to audit requirements for the fleet pricing). I walked across the street to the registry office, did my paperwork and paid the money, and came back for it 10 minutes later. When I drove away, the car was registered in my name, with my plate attached.

10 minutes????

I've been waiting 30 days so far!!!!

Bob who arranges New Vehicle plates/registrations in your locality? Can you do it or does it have to be done by a Dealer? Do you drive around on a TEMP registration until your new plates arrive? Here all that is needed are 4 documents:

NVIS
Bill of Sale
Proof of Insurance
Valid Driver's License

Plates are provided immediately or you transfer the plates from your trade-in to the new vehicle. Plates are registered to the person not necessarily the vehicle. My wife's plate has been on 8 different cars so far.

Many small towns have a registry agent, and in the two biggest cities there are 30 in each, totalling well over 200 locations, including all CAA offices. Some are really busy, and others, not so much. Also when I renew my registration at the same time as I transfer the plate, there is no fee to transfer, only the renewal charge. I will register the vehicle, transfer the plate and renew it for a grand total of $85.

All they had to do was transfer the plates from the 300 to the Scat Pack! They transferred them from the 300 to the 300 and charged me $183 in registration fees. I'm a 100% Disabled Vet.....I don't pay any registration fees.

I just called the Finance Manager at Cook Dodge and his lame excuse for my trade not paid for is that there won't be anybody to sign the check that is going to my financial institution until Thursday and my 300 will be paid off on Friday.

They don't know what the status of my registration and title is and they will call me back when they get that figured out.

On a new car purchase in Maryland the dealer has to do it.

They called back about the registration and title and said they couldn't fix at the dealer and had to send it to the MVA to get corrected.

Cook Dodge doesn't seem even remotely concerned since they issued a temporary registration.

They probably already sold the 300. It's registered to two people.

My 300 was only on the internet for one day. So someone could of bought it on April 18th. I didn't see the car on the lot after that date.

And they might of screwed the new owners over too. My Credit Union still owns the car because there is a lien on the title so the car can't be legally sold or registered until my loan is paid off and the lien taken off the title. Unless Crook Dodge did something else underhanded.

Funny story. I changed my address a few weeks ago, and the clerk asked if I wanted it changed on all the vehicles. I said yes, and ended up with a new registration for the Monaco 500. Apparently someone hadn't transferred ownership yet.

They did but it's in German....

If you really want to jam it to them, tell them that your lawyer says they’ve violated the Consumer Sales Practices Act & he’s advised you to contact the attorney general.
