Who's Running Flowmasters

I have been running dynomax super turbo in 2.5" on the wagon for years. I love the sound, nice rumble and no drone when cruising, but they make a nice racket when you open 'er up...not offensive like I find the flowmasters. Couple buddies have gone with the same mufflers on their vehicles after hearing mine.

Wonder what they sound like in 3"?

I ran 40s on my 68 Monaco 440 thru 2.5" with a H tube. I liked it then, nice drone at cruising but spit when you nailed it.
I'll likely go a different route with my 67 383, just haven't figured out just what that is yet..

50 series flowmasters on my 75 NYB.. nice and quiet on the inside as mentioned above, throughty on the outside, I've always been a flowmaster guy, however I'm wondering if that BB sound is right for a classy cruiser.. may consider magnaflow in the far future since I just put the duals on in Nov 2015.

BB sound is right for everything. if my toilet made a sound like a BB when it flushed I wouldn't be able to afford the water bill.

Think I measured the old muffler that was still hanging under the wagon when I got it, and just bought mufflers that were close in dimensions. Wonder if there is much of a sound difference between the different length mufflers?

Oh, hell yes. I originally put the 14" on and I lasted a whole month with having driven the car maybe five times. I'd had it by then, got the 20" and had the shop put them in. It was like having a Snickers...

I will be putting a new exhaust under my 68 Sport Fury within the next month or two so I found this input very valuable. I think I will be going with Magnaflows as my car is a cruising vessel.

Never liked flow masters, Chevy stuff.
Best sounding mufflers out there are Borla's

I too have never been a fan of the flow master mufflers, just too sharp a sound for my ears. As I mentioned I have the Dynomax super turbo's on mine and love them....have had several friends and acquaintances put the same system on their vehicles that is on my wagon after hearing and riding in mine..

I have done 3 TTi systems,1 on a 440 and 2 on 383 C's.
Love the Dynomax Super Turbo's in the kits.
Unless you are doing a Stroker motor,Leave the Flowmasters and Magnaflow to the Fox body Mustwangs and Cramaro crowd.

Somedays like a Tesla, others like a Saturn 5 rocket. It's intake based but never consistent. Even if Taco Bell is the fuel du jour.
