I have a buyer from Germany for my '87 Fifth Avenue who wants to register the car so that he and his friends can spend 3-4 weeks travelling the east coast and attend some drag week events before they have the car shipped back to Europe.
In Connecticut, where I live, it seams that you can only register a car including get temporary or transport plates if you have a Connecticut address.
Anyone deal with this issue before and have any suggestions on how the buyers of my car can get plates and insurance on it here in the U.S.? The insurance companies also want an in state address to write the insurance.
The car is not currently registered and I really don't want to register it in my name and have people I don't know driving it all over for several weeks for liability reasons.
Thanks.
