Radar Detectors

Lol, I knew auto correct got you! Far be it from me not to take advantage!
I got hit in the side by a distracted driver who was going about 20mph one time. Wasn’t too bad.
Another time I got rear ended by yet another distracted driver going around 45mph. That one was substantially more punishing. You’re not going to convince me that speed doesn’t make a difference in a collision. Heck, without speed, a collision is impossible!
I had a young girl (pregnant), left front me with her left front. Knocked my tire off the rim and down the hill it went. I thought for sure she was dead the way her car disintigrated, not speed involved I was doing between 25-30 in a 40 mph zone (downhill with stop light at bottom) she crossed the line not at high speed, we are not on that statistics list.
Don't get me started on these light shows they have on the front of vehicles today.

That’s basically what happened to me except, she t-boned me. If you read what I said carefully you’ll notice I don’t say “speeding “ I say “speed”. Speed is a factor. 20mph is a speed just as 120 or 5mph.
I’m not a fan of aftermarket lights on the road when I’m the guy looking at them from the other direction! Lol

OK. Someone finally brought up something that really pushes my buttons.
You started it. Keep going.
Oh, I forgot! You gotta have someone to disagree with! I’m your huckleberry.

Auxiliary aftermarket driving lights are a clear choice for safe driving on today’s modern roads. They show the way in dark and foggy conditions. Other oncoming drivers will not be affected.

There is a caveat with that. The lights have to be adjusted properly, not just slapped on and say "good enough".
See? Polara Dave should have hung around. People have fun sometimes.

If you had actually read it instead of your usual knee-jerk,red x reaction, your questions are answered.
Theres money involved? Gee whiz, who’d have guessed that.
That is a list of some capitian obvious stats there.
<5 year old are highest death in back over deaths.
Really I would hope that grandma and grandpa are not crawling around on the ground behind a car, when the unattractive parent backs the car up.
More likely to die as a pedestrian getting hit at 40 than 20. Huh, who would have thought.
Talk about just spewing scary facts that in reality if you were paying attention in H.S. physics you would perdict 90% of those stats before reading them.
:BangHead: :BangHead:

There is no reasoning with the irrational . I'm out......

Sorry folks, I tried to read through that crap... but I'm having serious doubts about their numbers...
"Male drivers were involved in 34% of fatal crashes in 2016 while female drivers were involved in 12%. (USDOT, 2017) (Source: 2019 Driving Statistics: The Ultimate List of Driving Stats)"
So who the heck was driving in the other 54%?

You don’t have to be driving the car to die when it crashes. The other 54% were obviously passengers, pedestrians etc.
