What did you do to your C-body today....

Finally had a few minutes to hook up the batteries and fire up the fleet. Everyone fired right up with no issues. Gave them a quick bath and lined up in the parking lot.

I’m replacing front shocks. Or rather, removing them today, and reinstalling new gas charged shocks tomorrow when they come in. My old ones were almost completely dead.
Hopefully that will stop some of the wallow-wagon effect.
Also, my buddies NYB has been sitting here since I dragged it in. We never got it running more than few seconds with a borrowed distributor. I went through the carb earlier, and a new distributor will be here in the morning. It’s going to go or blow tomorrow!

Friday was perfection so I made plans to install my brand new/old leather Imp seats in the fury. Saturday morning waited until it was nice and warm about 10:30. First I laid out my tarp and picked out all the tools I’d need. I pulled the car onto the tarp and the weather was great sunny & warm. About 1/2 hour into it it got windy and cool. I looked up the weather and it showed nothing. Then came the sprinkles. I packed it in rolled everything back in the garage and it started pouring. Sunny California my #%%!!! Threw in the towel, it ended up raining all weekend. It’s beautiful again today for work though...

Made the best of a bad day. We went and had the best beef ribs in the valley.
The Bear Pit is old as dirt and old school good. I usually prefer pork ribs but the beef ribs are so good here it’s really the only way to go.

Next few weekends are spoken for so hopefully I’ll get them installed by the Father’s Day show at Pomona. I have to POR and then paint the floors so I really need two full days of warm sunshine and then an extra free weekend to swap the seats. I know we all need the rain but do we really need it on our weekends????

Got the shocks I mentioned yesterday on this morning. Quite the difference!
Also got the NYB running. It seems to have a dead miss and I’m letting it cool down right now so I can get in there and check the plugs.

Yesterday I finished installing the heat insulation on my floorpan of my Windsor and started putting the interior in. Got the package tray and rear seat side shields in. Next the rear-quarter interior panels need to go in. This was a roadblock because mine are for a non-bucket interior, and of course they don't fit with the side shields installed.

I didn't get the correct interior panels for the bucket interior from the donor car. Even if I had, they would've been black because the donor car had a black interior. My interior is saddle bronze colour. I will need to modify my interior panels to fit.

I have a spare set of interior panels from a convertible and I started hacking up one of those to experiment with, to get the shape correct. The convertible panel already had the correct contour to fit against the side shield, but it was different at the top. I peeled back the vinyl and cut away the metal core to get the correct shape. Now I need to do the same thing to my actual side shields, without damaging the upholstery!

drove the 300 to work again. my view out the window.

bought it to use as a commuter car. something it does exceedingly well. did change the gears to 2.70 somethings so it gets decent fuel mileage and screws down the freeway.

Front end alignment day...
I had it aligned a few years ago but discovered that the inside of the tires were feathering
Found out that the toe in was actually in a toe out situation
