I agree but nice to know one like this exists

A buddy of mine had a 64 with a fresh 484 Hemi that was magazine pretty and had the articles to prove it and he was forever getting it sold at that price point. He had to take 2 cars on trade plus cash to get it done.

The 484 Hemi most certainly helped his cause.

I'm sure it was the biggest reason he finally got his number but it took over a year to sell it.

With the exception of the wheels and the exhaust, it looked like you grandmother's wagon.
Hemi, 518 overdrive trans that was adapted to the pushbutton shifter and Vintage Air. The car could be driven anywhere and he made many cross country trips with it over the years.

I dunno, if I was independently wealthy, I'd restore it. I would add dual AC though...

Beautiful car, whether it makes sense or not.

Beautiful wagon, very high level restoration. No idea if the price is commensurate. Strange thing about the listing, no actual description of the vehicle, only pretentious fluff about the dealer.........even if I had deep enough pockets for that price point, I'd hesitate to work with a dealer like this.

Given what he started with, it is an amazing attention to detail in the restoration effort. It actually appears much better than new when they just came out of the factory - I was around back in those days spending a lot of time in dealer showrooms, and nothing looked this nice back then.

The really sad commentary about that ad is they just talk about the automotive group that's representing the car. There's JACK SQUAT about the actual car itself. No wonder I don't surf Hemmings anymore.

The panel allignment is excellent. The tailgate, things like the tail lights etc.

John Scotti is a Montreal-based antique dealer - I've not always heard the best things about him although I've absolutely nothing on which to base any personal opinion. He seems to always sell excellent examples of things, but as a dealer you can be sure he did not pay anywhere near what he's asking for that car. He tends to sell to those who seem to have deep enough pockets not to care about true value within an enthusiast community (as in this wagon).
