Here are some pictures from this past weekends 39th annual Papas Dodge Mopars In Motion show and swap meet. It was an overall great day, despite some rain in the morning around 9am or so. There were a lot of modern Challengers and Chargers, as you would probably expect. I'm talking like filling up half the show-field. Unfortunately that's what car shows are nowadays. Who really cares IMO. There were classic Challengers and Chargers too, and lots of B-bodies. Including a couple C-bodies that I have not seen before. First up, non C-bodies. Hope you enjoy the pictures and please post comments, opinions etc if you would like.

The HEMI Sport Fury is now owned by a guy who lives in New Hampshire who is trying to sell it. Technically a dealer.:icon_fU:

@SportFury70
Did @FURYGT and Flying Whale make it or?... I’m assuming not as the ground at my house is still soaked but...

Also, what’s the rain date for that Berlin show you mentioned?

Thanks for the pictures! Great cars and diversity thereof! Including the fwd turbo cars!

@GJS, Yes @FURYGT made it on Sunday with the famous Flyin' Whale, and won 3rd place. He was there Saturday night too. (As you can see from his picture.) However I didn't see you there on Sunday, I thought you were going to come in your truck? Also as far as the Berlin show, the new date for it is June 30th.

I didn't make it Sunday, house work ate up a bunch of time and before I knew it the show would have been over by the time I got there. Bev is getting her MC and booster on Friday so I'm clear for the 30th in Berlin .... gonna try and rectify this friggin trans leak as well so I don't soil any asphalt or kill any grass.

Do any of you guys ever make Cruising on Main in Manchester, CT? I've been wanting to get a bunch of C bodies to that show for years. The first time I went, I took my 68 Monaco. The next year there was a gorgeous 68 Newport there but I've never seen another C Body at that show and it's a kind of big show in it's 19th year. Cruisin' On Main - Manchester, Connecticut . It's pretty fun as well to roll on 384 for a few passes before getting to the show.

Never been to the Manchester show. Date for it this year is, Sunday August 4 from 10am-3pm. Rain dates are August 11 and 18. Last year, my family and I went to the Chrysler Convention in Vernon that was on the same day as Manchester. What a waste of time that was. About 30 to 35 cars. Definitely not what it used to be. DON'T go there, it sucks. I'm not going back. Ask @FURYGT. We got 1st place out of it, with the 1 other C that was there though. I would love to make it to Manchester one day.

I've been to the Cruise Night On Main Street show in Middletown a couple times, and that one is huge. Date for it this year is, Wednesday June 12 from 4:30-8:30pm. You definitely have to get there really early, like at 3:30 or 4 o'clock for that one. It fills up real fast. Saw a beautiful yellow 300 convertible there once.

Looks like the Chrysler Convention is on the same day this year ... I don't understand why that didn't draw more last year as Manchester was thin on Mopar. I think out of the whole show I saw a 69 charger, a 64 Polara and more metric challengers than I cared to count. Not that I take issue with them, it's just that if I want to see a bunch of em in one place I can go to a dealership after they close.

I'll have to think on that one... They're the same day and basically the same time and the one other problem with Manchester is that once you're in, you're in. Not a lot of room to maneuver there.

I think the same way with this quote. I don't give a damn about modern Challengers and Chargers. Don't get me wrong some are cool with the colors and what they do under the hood sometimes. But who cares IMO. They all look the same no matter how you look at it. I like seeing the old stuff, and the stuff I've never seen before.

Please DON'T think on it. DON'T go to the Chrysler Convention. (Unless you want.) Yes, you're in set "classes", and 99% definitely going to win an award. BUT, it costs $20.00 just to get the car in and as I said there were only about 30-35 cars the whole time last year. Here are a few pictures. 1st pic is from where we were sitting. Also, the show is 7 hours long, starts at 9am and goes till 4pm. Although they cut it 2 hours early and ended about 2pm. This show used to be huge, until they created an "invitational" one year. I think that turned off a lot of people. Up to you

Above- Is where we had our chairs set up.
