Greensboro Classic Auto Auction

Bob: I've been following this thread. Very impressed with all the cars for sale. Do they do this auction every year in Greensboro? If so, I'm definitely gonna make plans to attend next year.
Already co-signing cars for the next one. Some beauties comming

Sunbeam Tiger. Another of the early imports that are rare. This one with a small 4 cylinder. Looked to be well done & an older restoration. Sold for just a little over $8 grand. Cheap way to get into the classic car hoppy. You’ll have something different & unique but maybe not much of a good investment.

There's a new auction facility near me called BelAir Auto Auction. Suppose to be the biggest auction in the world. Currently has 12,000 cars to auction every week. They bought more land and will expand to more than 20,000 cars. I have retired friends from the Proving Ground that work at the auction a day or two a week to get out of the house. They move cars around at the auction. I was invited to a Thursday auction and they do have some classics and a lot of modern muscle come through the auction. They don't care what cars auction for. They are interested in volume and even 12,000 cars a week isnt enough.

How about a couple of early birds. 50’s Thunderbirds are rare birds indeed. These two where stunning beautiful.

An Avanti. Not the Studebakerbut the Avanti motor company. This last ditch effort to save a car company that had been tag as a boring car maker would be repeated decades later with the Plymouth Prowler. History repeats itself
