2019 Mopars in the Park

Will have to post more when I get home. Too slow here.

You'll have to compare and contrast the new venue vs. the Farmington location. It's a good and a bad sign when you run out of room for C bodies. Meaning great turn out from our kind is good vs inadequate planning from the promoter for our space?

There are advantages to both sites. The reviews will be mixed. For a first year, I think they did all right. The show is getting close to rivaling Carlisle in terms of count and quality of cars.

To me, the car count and spectators are up. The infrastructure can support the show with some tweaks. They announced the car count was approaching 1,000. There is room on site to expand the C body class.

Yeah, the picture wouldn't upload.

Doc aren't you there?

Beautiful day for a car show. Had thoughts of driving up in the Challenger on Sunday to take a gander.
But then again I couldn't hang with all of you since I don't have a C-Body, just yet. My Y-Body Imperial would be a real misfit among the other misfits.

@Polara 500 It wasn't the first time I was asked this weekend to take a photo, but should have put 2&2 together. Figured it out when I saw the fourm decal.
Overall it was good meeting you all. Still have to put names to faces. Also since this was the first time at the show I did feel they underestimated the number of C-Bodys coming. When I stopped by Friday just before 2:00 that section only had one spot left. Was this year just an unusually high turn out?

Now that I am home I can upload some C-body Field Pictures. A couple might be repeats as I am not sure which ones uploaded the first time.

I was there at the opening Saturday and stayed probably 3? hours or so. I thought the new venue worked well although everything seemed stretched out , at least at 10 in the morning it did.

I am probably more of a fan of having it at Dakota county fairgrounds...Truth be told I liked it even better when it was at Raceway Park 5 minutes from my doorstep:lol:

Wish I could have been there. Ended up having to go to NM for work this year. Honestly I’m still a little upset they moved. Dakota was laid out so nice and parking was fairly easy.

Why were the Engel cars stuck in with the C's (I see a 59 Chrysler in there)...no section for them?
A symptom of muscle car hobbyists that know nothing other than muscle era A,B,E cars in my opinion...there will be sub categories for 70-71 and 72-74 E bodies, and then they'll park Cordobas with the C bodies because they don't know that they are B Bodies (I've seen this happen).
One of the reasons I really dislike "class" parking...I've NEVER seen it done right.
Best system I've seen was Moparfest. No classes...groups of friends can meet before entering and convoy in as a group so as to park together regardless of what they brought etc.

Looks like Mopars in the Park had a great turn out of C Bodies.
Thanks for posting up the pics!

I got there nice and late, 2:45, and they had just passed 1,000 registered cars. The dirt road in, needs to be paved, it turned to mud from the rain the night before. They didn't give enough room for the C body class, we took over the factory convertible area, and were almost in the metric Mopar area also. It was fun watching people leave with some noise and tire slippage, until the cops parked at the entrance.
