Sad day for me

I'm sorry for the loss! We have a 2y/o and a 4y/o. Bailee and Lucy. Weird thing, the little one picked my wife but then somehow became my little furry girlfriend lol and Lucy, that was mine somehow loves our daughter the most now. Cuddliest cat I have ever seen, that little black Bailee. They are both relatively small 10Lbs cats.

I normally don't post things like this

Had to my kitty to sleep this morning, she was 16 y/o vet said she had kidney failure, and ulcers/tumor on her tongue, last year she had part of her thyroid removed. Was really hoping to get another couple years from her. But last night i knew it wasn't good when she was laying extra heavy on me, past few weeks she wasn't eating dry food, quit drinking water 1.5 weeks ago i just started to give her moist can food with water added to help out some her spirit was always there but her body said otherwise... She was always a light weight cat at around 9-10 lbs when they weighed her she was lil over 5lbs

I will always miss you Jynxi, such a pretty kitty :-( :-( :-(View attachment 291319 View attachment 291320 View attachment 291321 View attachment 291322 View attachment 291323 View attachment 291324 View attachment 291325 View attachment 291326 View attachment 291327
She's a sweetheart... Thank you for making the tough call, she didn't need to suffer. I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss... pets become such a part of the family and it's a very difficult decision to make when their time comes.
Know in your heart that you had 16 years of happiness together, and you made the right decision. They certainly can't tell you how much pain they're in, but they always put on their "game face" for you everyday no matter how they feel.
Take care, hang in there and remember time heals all wounds.

As all cat owners know, we may think we chose the cat, but really they chose us. We had one that I got from a friend, he was 10 when we got him. He was with my kids and wife more than me, but when I was home he would come to where ever I was. There was no doubt he chose me, I was his human in his eyes. He was my buddy:)

I'm so sorry. It's an emotional thing that makes us realize just how human our condition really is. I feel for your loss and hope that you are well.

the very first dream i had is where she was a little girl and i told her to "go up" to escape. Go up, go up, go up. i didn't follow her to escape i went the other way so she wouldn't be followed... she had long black hair

Very sorry to hear this. . . Animals are such a blessing to us, but they break your heart at times like this. Sincere sympathies to you and your family.

I remember being a bit distressed by my first dream about Astoria (my cat of 18 yrs named after one of the shankyest of hotel bars on the East Side of Vancouver). She was a rejected barn kitten I found in a field .. a bit smaller than a small rat when I found her, eyes still closed, pretty sparse on hair and I raised her from there. She was a bundle of a million demons and angels. Rejected by her mother, she had no way to express it.. didn't know how to purr or meow for the first 5 years of her life, couldn't retract her claws properly. Inherently knew how to HUNT ... and did. Her eyes would regularly go completely black when she was really on to something. My girlfriend at the time looks like she had a cutting problem to this day because of Astoria.

She was in the dream as a very perfect combination of the rat I found, the svelte, blue eyed Snow Bengal she turned out to be, the frail and unkempt senior she became but also the absolutely bat-sh** crazy wild rooted cat she was the majority of the time when she was on earth. She paid little attention to me in the dream but once at the end gently bit my lip (which she did sometimes once she lost her sight) and I woke up.

They get to go everywhere and be anything now. Just nice to have em come home sometimes and appear to us as the familiar yet complex characters they are.

our old kitty did that also...so skinny..sleeping 23 hours a day she was 20 yrs old when we had to let her go...

I glad i didn't wait till for this coming weekend for the vet visit. And so glad my wife came with me

I know what it feels like we put ours to sleep 2 months ago he was 19 years old and before he got sick he weighed 30 lbf he was a maine coon cat

I’m a dog guy, but I understand your sadness. She was of course, more than a cat. She was your friend. Now there’s a big hole in your heart where she used to be. Sarge was our 100lb Shepherd. He just got old. He’s been gone 3 years now and I still miss him. He was my friend. I’m sorry for your loss.

A friend told me what this dream meant

That she really was my sweet little daughter. I helped her cross over.
