Could someone tell me how big I can go with an 8 x 15 Cragar ? I saw a chart somewhere that said a P225/70R15 is the biggest that fits ? That sounds kinda small to me, I was thinking about a P245/60/R15 ? It’s a 65 Plymouth fury 3 without fender skirts. Any help is appreciated.

With an 8" rim a 275 is no problem. 295 probably is ok.
If you only want a 245 you want a 7" rim

In the '65 275 might be the biggest comfortable tire to squeeze in there. Those Fusie guys have more room apparently. @furious70 :poke:

I have a 275/60 on my '66, and the wheel well is pretty full. Only way to verify is with one of those tires measuring tools, or having the size tire in question mounted and attempting to install it.

Thanks for the info guys, I would think 65 and 66 would be the same so maybe I will go with the 275/60 and the 8 inch wheel ? If you think that would be to risky I could go the next size smaller ?

The 275 works, the rim does need the correct backspacing. I don't have a number handy, sorry.

I was only talking about what fits the rim, not the car
275 is all that fits on mine and I had to trim the wheel well. Custom rim would allow a little more.
