C bodies in motion thread

Did everyone park their cars? Probably too busy driving them to stop for a photo!

Just driving around trying to get parts I need. Yoda would say I did not. :wideyed: Going back again today. I had a video driving to the stepsons house, but the song on the radio was copyrighted, so my video was banned. Screw the Eagles! They and Fleetwood Mac are the reason concert tickets are as much as front row sporting event seats. Did I say Screw the Eagles!?!

I do miss having miles of farm road to cruise on.... Kinda miss my 68 dash too. Looks like a nice ride, man!

I'm getting her more and more reliable, and fixing the little things that need it. She's a driver and mechanicals nee to be in order, the body will stay just as it is. I've been driving so much, and so fast (yeah) that the top of coming off!

Doing the same here. Don't have much to worry about with the roof peeling off but I have noticed that the lil maple tree helicopters like to fly right into where I have no window whiskers left .. which is like, everywhere! Gonna have a lot of cleaning to do, um, one of these days.

Nice video Scott...I'd swear you were driving in northern IL down the gravel road I grew up on. Very similar terrain, and it's still gravel to this day.
Here's a picture from a video I took last year after getting the junkyard 72 Monaco parts-car started.

Here is a photo of a C-body in motion taken from an angle I have not seen before in this thread :D

Here is the background: with just a few days left before Carlisle, I went to have Poppy's (my '70 Polara 'vert) carb checked by Smitty, the Mopar restorer who had gotten her back in shape last year. He super-nicely agreed to have a look even though he was prepping his own rig for Carlisle. The weather was quite hot and very sunny but not really humid, so it was a beautiful long drive to his shop.

The photo below got taken while driving back from Smitty's shop, by the phone itself -- I had left the latter between my legs for protection from the sun, and look at what it did! (The second photo was taken a few moments earlier, while I was stopped at a red light -- guess the camera stayed on and was activated unwittingly).

Technically the werent " in motion" but the engines were running does that count?

Start up......

Late night drive.....

Driving in the dead of night has always been a thrill for me (preferably windows down).

Got the Gray Polara out of storage to fix the rear brakes that are gone.

I love this car! It's plain, simple, is ragged, but I love it! Arm across the top of the bench, or out the window, it's comfortable and smooth to drive. Running a little crappy at lower rpm',s so I'll check the wires and plugs, and probably clean out the carb since that hasn't been done for a few years.

Has everyone packed away their cars already? :poke:

Out on my 20 mile loop I like to drive.

Beautiful day, perfect for a cruise. Got the tie rods and idler arm installed, and have an alignment in the morning. Head out to Illinois early in the afternoon for the CatL drive (Moo!) and the Car-b-que. Should be a fun weekend!

Took the 75 NYB out to stretch her legs today.. 75-80 MPH on the Hwy, No problems. took the kids for a day of boating on the Lake.. there was this Old wooden runabout at the Marina.. cool old boat. Had a blast today.

Setting out on a Friday afternoon for a C.A.T.L (Cars on the Lake) Drive.

Met up with @71Polara383 and @ayilar that night.

Heading north the next day.

We met up with @sixpkrt and headed towards Milwaukee.

@sixpkrt is between the '71 Monaco's. It's funny how a Fusie can hide another Fusie so well.

No one was afraid to hop on the highway, we dealt with some heavy traffic, and all cars handled it fine.

Where's the '68?

IMG_20190907_163700.jpg

It's just waiting in the wings for the Fusies to have a chance for a group photo.

Back in the picture.

We rolled into Georgie Porgie's where we met up with @70 Sport Suburban and his dad,for their last structured event of the year. Turnout was at least 200+ cars.

We stopped over to Manny's house to hang out, and fix Wyatt's car before heading back to Illinois.

Before @sixpkrt and I split from @71Polara383 and @ayilar, we stopped to check the cars, and had another quick photo shoot to close out the day.

IMG_20190907_232126.jpg

275 miles from Rockford round trip, I had another 50 from my hotel to start my day, and we all had a blast! I loved the narrow two lane roads we drove on the way to meet @sixpkrt. Thanks for the unexpected detour, Wyatt!
