For Sale The Famous 4-speed...

FWIW, I don't think it's a new seller... the car was in that area last time it surfaced trying to do the Carlisle/Lakeland auction for stupid money. It's my guess the flipper has been sitting on her watching the market... do nothing... :realcrazy:

I'd own it and be busy working at undoing the damage to it if the price was realistic (1/4). Stan pushed the compression on the build and someone hooked laughing gas to it later on... so count on some engine damage. I have a hood available for whomever saves her, maybe even some road wheels too.

One question that keeps rolling in my head... given the ownership since she left Fumbuck... who here thinks the clutch has been scorched?

I don’t know but I hate those wheels. Stan you should have done this to a 4 door, formals absolutely look better as a 4 door hdtp.

Even though it sounds like you couldn't care less about this Formal now, you must have at one point, considering the amount of time and effort you put in it.
Would you mind sharing the backstory? Was there a thread here documenting the build?
[Edit]...here we go
4 speed New Yorker? Yes.

I'm probably the only guy in the world that knows that hydraulic clutch setup and how to maintain it.
In my gut, I know the the clutch and tranny are now beyond Flukked.

Shame that the build from Day 1, including the announcement, thread on old www.moparfins.com was never archived. :(

I agree with Jeff

BUT, i also vowed if Stan's car came up again, I would try to acquire it (I dig this car) and get it back the condtion when Stan last had it, enjoy it as long as I could, and then find it a good home after I am officially Scenicrusin with the Posse.

Advertised price doesnt seem like right acquistion cost for it given the potential deleterious effects of "musical chairs/showoffs/tire squeals, etc)" over the intervening years. I will make seller one offer .. what do you guys think that should be?

To me, seems like mid four digits somewhere?

as i ponder that number, my bet is it probably wont get the job done, and the flapjackin' then goes on .. but nothing ventured nothing gained. Somebody has gotta try to save it. :)

I would be thrilled to work with you on that. Improve it, even.
