Had them laying around for a while but last weekend I finally installed the gauges.
I don't think they're very accurate but what can you expect for about 5 $ a piece  ánd dilivered to my front door all the way from the other side of the world :D

Oilpressure reads from 80 psi at start up to about 40-50 psi idling after warming up.
Watertemp is reading to high. My heatgun reads 180 to 200 F depending on where I point the laserbeam.
Volt is ok I think but maybe I have to hook it up at another point :(

See video :

If the oil gauge is mechanical I hope it doesn't puke oil on your nice carpet.

hey luigi -

im not sure about the turn signal making the volts meter bounce, other than you are drawing electricity on/off on/off on/off and the meter is able to see that (obviously right?) after I removed my amp gauge and went to volt gauge only, my volt meter bounces around but consensus was that its only the voltage regulator doing some regulating and should be OK.

But - at around 1:30m in your video, you are on the highway and you show the temp gauge - its above 210* ? is that metric?? your car should not be that hot IMO, not in germany, not at 70m.p.h.

im concerned. do you have any issues with the car temp / cooling ?

Hi Saylor,

I sure hooked the voltmeter from a switched (pos)terminal under the dash. It was a connector for accesories I think. The negative I just connected to an existing groundterminal under the dash too. Maybe I'll change that and connect it directly to the battery ?
The temp gauge reads in F. so as the oilpressure reads psi. It's an US-car so for me no gauges in meteric. But I agree that 210 F is a little too high. On the other hand, the gauges are ( and I hate to admit it  ) from China and that's why maybe not thát accurate. . .but hé, what to expect for $6 a piece

I'm indeed not happy with the cooling/temp of the car right now. Altough at my last big trip to the BBTR meeting in Germany, a lot of highway, the tempgauge was between 210/220, the idiotlight lit only once for about 30 sec and that was in a trafficjam. Before the trip I changed the thermostat with a brand new 180F and flushed the radiator. After all flushing was not neccesary because the water came out as clean as I put it in..no dirt at all.

So, I'm still working on it. First I have to wait for a new coil that's on his way ( see my other thread) and hope to get the car running again.

Oh, and btw, that video was in The Netherlands...were I live :D

Does anyone know what the thread size of the original water temperature sending unit for the idiot light(s) in a 1970 Chrysler is?

luigi164 did you replace the sending unit for the water temperature idiot light with an incremental unit for the water temp gauge?

1/2-14 NPT is the thread size. That is a tapered pipe thread size.

No, I left the sending unit for the idiot light and so it's still in use. I put an other sending unit for the gauge in front of the waterpump housing..
