3rd Annual Midwest C Body Car Show

Are 10X10 shade tents allowed?

The grassy area where we will be parking at Volo has plenty of shade. (more in the other rows than this pic)
I set up a sign in/registration tent where everyone enters. It will later be used for the food that's being delivered.
Tents by the cars probably wouldn't work too well, because as seen in the picture from last year, when the cars are backed in to their spots, it's pretty much bumper-to-bumper, without any room for a tent.
In addition, there's gonna be a bunch more cars there this year than what you see in the pic...

Anyone else coming? Sending in your registration to be counted will be appreciated.

I let the owner know I'd call him by the end of the week once there is some feed back from this forum.
So let me know, if anybody thinks this is something we could do or want to do, after the show.

Just to follow up on the "drive-in option" mentioned in post #147, and seeing the few responses, I don't see enough interest yet to have the owner reserve parking spaces for us, and I told him I'd call him back today with FCBO feedback.
If there isn't much interest, that's fine with me. It was cool that owner of the drive-in made the offer to accommodate our group, but I don't want to waste his time if there's no interest, so he can fill in these spaces with the mini-vans and suv's that'll be coming to see the movie.

Have to get him to run some old car movies next year, get the ball rolling.

Trying to get a roll call from Facebook. I'll let you know as soon as I know @sixpkrt

As far as what I mentioned about having people over to my place Friday evening. I am thinking I should have my mess cleaned up by then. I recently took on a major project of setting up pallet racking and building proper storage for all of the precious Polara parts and the shop was quite literally a mess until this last weekend. Still got some organizing to do, just curious how many people plan on coming out so I can get an idea. Let me know here or PM

I have two passengers joining me on the trip so party of 3. Eh?
My hotel is 30 minutes away drom the show. Can't complain got the no frills room for 59 bux and we are just there to sleep anyways.
With 12 hours and 750 miles one way we will not have much time for anything else after the show. Rest up and burn up the interstates Sunday to be at work Monday.

Leanburn was one of the first to register, with either 3 or 4? coming to to show in Volo if I recall.

I registered months ago.
I am taking Friday off to drive all day just to get to the show.. 12 hours 750 miles one way. And Sunday all day to drive back. Cannot take Monday off since a co worker starts his vacation and I am covering for that person.

With three people that equates to 4 hours drive time per person! :poke:

I know what you mean. Just call it organized chaos.
Make sure you keep one of those shelves empty, so we have a place to rest our drinks on at your Volo pre-show party.

Where does the time go?
The 3rd Annual C Body Show at Volo is next weekend.
40 cars and close to 70 people have been registered, beating last years attendance by almost double the cars & people.
Thanks to all that have marked your calendars for this event.
