I have an extensive Mopar literature collection and have seen thousands of official Mopar photos. This one is in the all-time top 5....

It's from the 1965 shareholder's Annual Report. "A new Dodge Monaco- in the background, the company's new 2.3 million square foot assembly plant at Belvidere, Illinois."

I'm neither a photographer, nor an artist. However, this has to be a nearly perfect photo- and a brilliant work of art. Start with the car- the color, the fender skirts, and the taillights- a work of art all it's own. Note how the color works with the foreground fields, but contrasts with the blueish green glow of the office lights in the distant factory. A beautiful brand new factory! Then there is the sky- maybe dusk- sort of foreboding. Looks like the picture was maybe taken in late Fall? Then there is the dark jacketed driver. What the hell is he doing out there?

It's the screensaver on all my devices. Thanks for letting me share.

That's awesome! It wasn't until I decided to buy my '66 Monaco 500 that I fell in love with it's unique styling cues. Great photo!

Amazing photo!:wideyed:

Oh yes, I've liked that photo for years when I bought that Chrysler Annual Report. Didn't know f too many other folks made much notice of it..... Should blow it up and make a copy to hang on a wall! As a kid intue 60s my family would drive between Chicago and Minnesota to visit relatives, so I remember seeing the Belvidere plant a number of times. I found a 66 Monaco four door hardtop like the one in the photo, has the spinners.....and I have skirts to be used someday too. Also have a nice 66 Monaco 500 that I found right outside of Belvidere, Illinois a few years ago! They are such cool cars, the fanciest Dodges with real style.

Thank you @71newport for the awesome parts catalog and dealer options book. Really glad I ran into you today at the car show.
