I have an extensive Mopar literature collection and have seen thousands of official Mopar photos. This one is in the all-time top 5....
It's from the 1965 shareholder's Annual Report. "A new Dodge Monaco- in the background, the company's new 2.3 million square foot assembly plant at Belvidere, Illinois."
I'm neither a photographer, nor an artist. However, this has to be a nearly perfect photo- and a brilliant work of art. Start with the car- the color, the fender skirts, and the taillights- a work of art all it's own. Note how the color works with the foreground fields, but contrasts with the blueish green glow of the office lights in the distant factory. A beautiful brand new factory! Then there is the sky- maybe dusk- sort of foreboding. Looks like the picture was maybe taken in late Fall? Then there is the dark jacketed driver. What the hell is he doing out there?
It's the screensaver on all my devices. Thanks for letting me share.
