1978 NYB, 392 MILES,For the sceptics.

I just need to get a handle on the sequence of events here. All of this has been covered in other threads, but it is worth restating. The way I've understood all of this is that a VIN is assigned first. Then the SPD (scheduled production date?) is set. Then the actual Month, Day and Hour (MDH) is printed on the door tag when the car is rolled off the assembly line. It's simplified, but is that correct? Could this one have been the last one ordered, but for some reason ended up on the line ahead of schedule?
In a word, YES!

This is the normal sequence of events.

Are you saying that this particular car jumped ahead in the production line?
Yes, they had to let it jump the line to get the last optional Imperial hood ornament. Got the last one on the shelf leftover from 3 years earlier

^^ Then you can set him straight....if possible! If he was asking say $12 Grand...You're in the ballpark but at $25 grand and even saw $50K. He's hoping there's one guy out there delusional enough to come up with maybe $20K! Just my observation of course.

IIRC, someone mentioned his car was going to be in the Survivor Tent at Carlisle.

Wait until he finds out that he can't have any "For Sale" signs on the car in the Survivor tent.

Wait. That cannot possibly be true. You're a sceptic and a hater. He's waaaay smarter you...

"BJ fever" strikes again....

Edit: GC fever. The lower tier...

I cant find any reason to want to speak with him at this time, but I'd still like to look over the car myself. St Regis roof treatment already makes this one a lesser car IMO. I'm a fan of the pillarless look.

I really like the St. Regis roof treatments. Not necessarily Dicks but I think they cool. Anyone know how many were produced?

There are a bunch of Formals for sale on Kijiji up in Canada the last few weeks....most over-priced though.

I heard it was in the Car Corral.

I believe a few FCBO'ers did look at it. I haven't heard anything reported.

I did not even bother to go look at it....

The mileage has changed to 400 miles according to the sign change on Saturday.

Sabrina said the sign also read $25k on Saturday as well, when she walked by it.
