More Mopars for my Daughter...

She loves the interiors of the old cars....wood grain, big chrome buttons and switches, real door handles and manual windows and an AM, or AM/FM with 8-track or cassette would be perfect she says.

When my youngest daughter turned 16 she started to bug me about driving. My biggest concern was keeping her safe and with all the 1/2 ton trucks in the school parking lot, she needed some thing tough, with great snow and crappy road ability, but not too fast. So I proposed she drive my 78 IHC Scout 4x4. She freaked and refused to even test drive it. So, I pointed out her options, on the right, Scout, on the left, bus stop. Took a week. Once she got used to the idea and drove it to high school, she was at first embarrassed. However once the pickup truck boys discovered the Scout with the monster bush grill, big winch, CB radio with a 200 watt boot, radio telephone, etc. she decided she really liked the Green Monster.

Maybe your daughter would like an older Jeep?

Wish I could've said that about my oldest daughter. I was going to let her drive my 340 duster, but she wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. Had to sell it to make room for a new VW.

Sooo...looking to sell it cheap then. :D You would be gratified to know that my daughter would enjoy and appreciate driving that car. :thumbsup:

I have been looking for A-bodies with a slanty as well, tough to find in decent shape, and at a decent price. We gave our daughters $5K each as a grad present and they can use it as they see fit, but both chose to use it to buy their first car and probably pay for the first years insurance. So she is on a bit of a budget as well.

Fury440....She loves older trucks, it's the fuel economy that gets in the way. I have been looking for a 1st Gen cummins truck for her, since I have been driving one for 10 years now and the economy and reliability is unmatched IMO.

Yes I remember a lot of moaning an groaning about fuel mileage, but it went away when I suggested the bus. LOL As far as I was concerned it kept her close to home and not wandering all over the city.LOL

i had good luck with the chevy celebrity. they have the boxy look, are as complicated as a hammer and very reliable. the eurosports looked good.

@thrashingcows

How about an M-body Mopar?

The driver would clearly see the hood and front fenders, they´re handy in size and handle quite well.

I have a 80 Cordoba Corinthian Edition that I would let go....cheap lol
