Most of you guys may remember this car, was for sale in Wisconsin recently.
I bought it and it arrived about a month ago. The car is in better condition than I imagined. Runs and drives great and stops really good too. I cleaned up this car right away, I ditched those ugly wheels and had that rear bumper stripped and chromed right away.

Put on a new set of Coker tires with 15x7 factory style steel wheels and factory hub caps.

The car looks so much better! The pain is in great condition, nice and straight too.

Just ordered the RAMManINC’s factory disc brake kit with the correct spindles and pin caliper bracket setup.

I’ll update you guys on that progress later. Looking forward to getting those disc brakes on.

Here’s some before/after pics

Enjoy!

What a difference the tires and wheel covers make. The chrome is a game changer, those painted bumpers were brutal. Beautiful.

It's crazy how much better it looks, great job bringing it back around!

Thanks guys, yes it wasn’t cheap to chrome but, I knew it would bring her back to her former glory.

Gonna reupholster the bench seAts soon as well.

The seats are ok now but there’s a few small tears and crunchy foam in the seats. Feels weird

I really love the way the car drives these
C body’s literally float down the road.

It’s like I’m driving on a floating water bed lol :steering:

Nice work, what a beauty!

Wow! Really nice. Getting rid of those wheels and doing the bumper just makes her look right. Nice to see she went to a good home. Enjoy.

Ah, glad to see the back bumper is not painted blue! Looked that way in the top two pictures.

Yup, I remember that car or maybe just the bumper! I kinda liked it that way. I like things with a little creativity.

Super nice Newp! I think '70 is my favorite year for many, many models from all manufacturers in that era.

You can be proud! More info on who and cost for chrome work please. It is getting harder to find any body to do it here in Wi. for a reasonable $$$!

Beautiful Car. I also own a 1970 Newport. Mine is a convertible with bench seats, also in need of getting reupholstered. My car is the same exterior blue with blue vinyl bench seats. When you decide who and how you are going to get your seats done, lets talk - maybe we can work out a deal with someone to do two seat packages. I can be reached at 7027423736.
