Hey FCBO gang! I'm looking for spare parts/advice to help finish my project: Transforming a 1974 Monaco from a Bluesmobile to a slick streetrod/cruiser! So far I've figured out what paint I'll be going with (B5 Blue) and have procured a used extension housing to replace the one I annihilated while attempting to prove my big block superiority to a Civic, it was a hallow victory lol

Anyways, the only parts I need ASAP are:
- Fuel door letter "D" or the whole set if a seller doesn't want to sell just the one
- 2 U-Joints (or at least provide info on the correct size, 440/727/9.25 with 3.23gears)
- Blue Interior pieces/trim (closer to New Brunswick the better or can get them shipped to Houlton, ME if its cheaper)
- Torsion Bar Keys

Parts that aren't required right away but would just be nice to have around as spares would be any exterior trim pieces (headlamp bezels, turn signal covers, side marker assembly's etc)

Any and all info/parts shared will be hugely appreciated and will help immensely in helping me finish my dream!

I've included some pics to maybe help motivate some of you to aid in getting a Monaco transformed back from a Blumo

So the blue car with the red line tires is what you’re building. Cause that is awesome !

Yessir, I came across that rendering of a Monaco a little over a year ago and fell completely in love with it! I noticed that the grille was in fact that of a 75, but I feel a 74 grille will do it justice just fine! However, I wanted to go with American Racing VN309 wheels because personally I find they'd suit the application a tad more than the Crager S/S's

Well I’m a fan for sure. Please keep us up to date. I’m going to share those pics on some of my Facebook stuff as I think it’s that worthy.

The u-joints should be a 7290 type. Measure the inside of the yoke for the distance across, if it is 2 5/8", it needs a 7290 style u-joint. Chrysler shows the part number for the cross and retainers of 2852175. This u-joint fit a lot of HD applications, if you can find and auto parts with a Borg-Warner, TRW or Dana catalogue, they should be able to cross reference this for you. Do not buy the Chinese knock offs sold at Auto Bone or Car Crap. The US made u-joints are about $20, if you want to buy them on line, www.dennysdriveshaft.com has them among many others.

I looked into it Dave and you got it right, thanks a bunch, saved me a fair amount of time!

The car should look good blue, I have a 2 door Monaco that color. It was never painted as far as I know.
