freedom of speech? THAT'S the excuse you wanna use to comfort yourself as you degrade another person's personal preference? It's boarder line gearhead hate speech.

Ooooookayyyyy :D I say what I think and I think it's ****... I don't need excuses, maybe that's why I don't have many friends:D:D

I'll try to spread more positive vibes next time I see such a tasteful design upgrade, I promise

There was no passion for THE CAR, here. The only passion was in being as cool as possible using a juvenile mindset.
This was my vision when I joined here, have you guys corrupted me! I'd still rock this car the way it is.

We can always disagree on things, the key for a good community is getting along with everyone despite having contrary point of views and therefore not being rude or personal.
That's why I said I don't like what he did to the car and didn't insult him like <<he's a stupidass moth*'#_**er with the worst taste of all time and should be put against the wall for ruining the car >>

If my Prius driving tree hugging neighbors walk up to me and say <<I hate your car for being such gas wasting piece of scrap metal>> I wouldn't burst into tears, but walk away from it with a shrug. If they get personal I would punch them in the face with a bundle of carrots :D

Where have you been young man????? Miss you around here!
Wow, I'm remembered lol. Ive been lurking. Havent posted that much in awhile but i still come here over any other online forumn. The knowledge, information and the characther of it's members is to great to stay away from.

I have been working on my 67 Fury though and thankfully there is some light at the end of the tunnel, finally. This car has taught me tons about what to do and not to do but i am at a point where i am getting somewhere. Just takes patience.

Man...you guys are kinda jerks. Seriously. Almost as bad as Corvette guys. I could see if everyone was of the same mindset, even the same generation. But we aren't. Is this exactly how I'd want my car? Probably not
...mostly because I prefer a Plymouth over a Dodge, but I can appreciate his passion for HIS car. Saying someone 'messed' a car up, one they own, because YOU don't like it...that's horrible.
Thanks... I've NEVER been compared to a Corvette guy before...
Sorry for the rant, let's try to be a bit more positive with our freedom of speech, please.
Actually I prefer the negative, but I usually say (type) it with a smile on my face... don't you know this how some in my generation communicate? :)

As for the wagon, I love the before pics and hate the after... a person would be a fool to believe that they could do this stuff to a decent car and not piss off folk who love them.

Long, long ago... in a street rod community... the biggest azzole and least respected member was the guy who found a super clean survivor to start his build from. The owner was certain he was a genius for saving so much work, time and money... but even a crowd full of folks stuffing SBCs into 30's and 40's cars knew he had killed one that should have been preserved, used as is and loved as she sat.

Good to see you're still plugging away... Will I see you at Carlisle this year?

I can see everyone's point of view, and I agree with all of them (surprisingly). Yes, it's his car and he can do what he wants with it.
Yes, he shouldn't have started with such a clean original survivor.
Yes, $15,000 is dreaming.
I recall at first I wasn't the most welcome person on here and some other forums because my 74 Monaco is a Bluesmobile, but I bought it as a Bluesmobile for $2250 with a running 440, with the intention of doing a form of "resto/street mod" to it, because nothing about my car is original.
1976 Royal Monaco body
1975 Imperial 440 and running gear
1975 Fury seats, dash pad and doors
1976 Gran Fury Certified Speedometer
1974 Monaco Front Clip

If you plan on making a rod, a cheap, rusty BUT running example makes a great blank canvas, because then everyone wins:
- the purists are happy because a clean survivor isn't butchered
- you're happy because you're building something to your liking from the ground up, getting experience
- lastly, and most importantly, you're saving another C-Body from going extinct or suffering a fate worse than death: the derby people

Yeah, its preference. Geez, I had a '64 Chevy Malibu SS, 327, posi traction, 4 on the floor. Then a '68 Pontiac GTO, then a '70 Dodge Challenger. And finally a Trans Am. The SS I remember selling for $300 in 1974. The others who knows what I gave those away for. But we've all done that, and I know ONE thing for sure, I won't be walking the earth 40 yrs from now, like looking back those 40 years. Let the kid do what he wants with his car. Can you imagine what cars will be like when he turns 60 years old.

Well Well Well, we will toss this up to a multiple choice!

a) Throw Your Toys Out Of The Pram - definition and synonyms
PHRASE
To behave in a very bad-tempered way because something has gone wrong
This is a time for cool heads and calm consideration. We should not react with a childish tantrum and throw our toys out of the pram.

b) Spit the dummy = Have a tantrum, get angry, be of bad temper, e.g. "They told him he wasn't welcome at the party, and he spat the dummy".

c)

Seriously just recently I told some Snowflake that he screwed up and he threw a tissy with a "YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE SO NEGATIVE!" comment. Unbelievable... :BangHead:

And then someone asked me for a recommendation, not snowflake related but hickbilly, they didn't follow my advice, end result was "How drunk was he when he done that?"

What's wrong with what @furyusvip said? The majority of cars for sale get ripped by the collective, usually to point out what's wrong with a car, I get that. But when everyone says a car is ruined by some bolt one, I think that's a bit over the top. The car can be changed back to stock with minor effort, so whoopty-doo. I don't prefer four door cars of any sort, for example, I want my two door hardtops, bit I'm not going to slam anyone for their car or the way it's built, if it can be changed back easily. Now the price, let's jump on the guy for that, all day long.

I'd drive the wagon as it sits and love every minute of it. If we all had stock cars, I'd get bored pretty quickly, and probably sell them to get something I can play with and not give a **** what someone else thinks. That's what I like, and will always have. One car will get the stock treatment and that's it, and when it's done I'm going to drive the piss out of it, and get chips in the paint, and drive it in the rain!

It's the great thing about selling a car, once it leaves your hands, it's not yours anymore, and the new owner gets to do whatever they want, to your liking or not. I wouldn't have bought the wagon and done this to it, but since it's how it is, I wouldn't have a problem with it. And if the seller still has the old parts, they could go to whomever got the car after I did (in my hypothetical world). It does get old listening to "this car isn't stock in this way..."

What's wrong with what @furyusvip said?

Duh... first off he called us a bunch of jerks, then threw done the hate card, waaaaaaa.

It's just a frigg'in ad on CL, I don't even think the car is legal to drive in the state of Maine with the missing headlights, but we didn't go there and I've think I've seen this car come up in my Fury or Mopar search (scoop). Don't know why maybe the ad had some keywords previous, but I kept my mouth shut (I know wagons are popular here) and just kept on clicking.

You're required to have brights in Maine? Or just have the number it came with from the factory?

I wasn't offended by his comment, people can say some crappy things about a car if it's modified, and say crappy things about the owners too, it happens here all the time. Not saying our members are jerks, just that they have a loud bark at times.

Whatever, maybe one of the purists can get this for a good price and bring it back to it's former glory, stock hood and all.
